Pigeon stops tree removal

I stopped the removal of a willow few months back because there was a pigeon sitting on a nest . We came back and removed the tree a couple of months later .

Anyone that says knock it down with young in it are just retards in my book ..

So you think they are "slow" or of low IQ, as opposed to just cruel or in humane?

"Retard" is a pretty offensive term and those that fall into this bracket deserve our sympathy not scorn. IME people of low IQ tend to be some of the kinder and more humane people you will meet.

Sorry in this instance I'm referring to the cruelty and wrong to quote these people as retards . Maybe could have thought of something more appropriate but can't think of anything . As for people putting wildlife through chippers , well each to their own , who cares , go for it , high fives and all that ..

So if you had a big roadside job , complete with traffic management ( lights etc ) MEWP , Hiab lorry booked , and a team of 6 guys chippers etc would you then stop the job at YOUR expense ????

I was stopped in my tracks performing CalTrans freeway removals with all the bells n whistles, because of baby crows occupyin a hawk's nest, by a CalTran's biologist unable to distinguish fledgling crows from fledgling hawks.

Over two months until we could remove that tree n bill the state.

To be fair the fallout of not stopping is a steep fine. We've left many jobs to return later due to nesting birds, that's the law.

Is it a pain in the arse when the ecologist on site is making you stop work on every tree whilst they check for nesting birds? YES!

Is it right to kill new borns of any species? NO (imo)

Is it a shame that most people care more about money than morals? I think so!
