I used to larf my nuts off at a lot of those old shows . Steptoe and Son ( black and white ) M & wise , Porridge , Open All hrs etc etc etc but they do seem dated now and I know whats coming and I kinda just smile . I must be a miserable old git !

Anyone remember Porterhouse Blue?

 

Probably my favourite is still Father Ted though - my wife's family is Irish on her Dad's side so describing it as a documentary does not go down well...

Always finding jack dee funny when I catch him on the radio or tv. For an older series i don't think father ted can be beat

Porridge only fools and on the buses

A bus journey to the southern alps ruined Father Ted for me. I cannot stand the program. A lot of classics like only fools and porridge were great and timeless viewing.

 

Of the recent decents, Mighty Boosh was wierd but excellent. Phoenix nights was pretty good... never liked the office.

 

Fleabag on Beeb 3 is a bit different and quite funny.
