So if a woman has the sperm of a husband, who is dying, frozen for later insemination that's selfish? Or a man with heart disease or something else that will shorten his life shouldn't have children?

Besides, she can always remarry.

Except his father! Sure, it'll have all the money in the world thrown at him to try as a compromise but it will always be just that. Even a young father can die when the kid is young and that is an unfortunate but in this case it's a given.

Yep, my farther died when I was quite young, fortunately, if you can call it that my eldest brother is a lot older than me, so I did have a older figure to ask for advice. I still managed to go off the rails in my early twenties. I often do wonder if things would have been different if my dad had been about.

You have a good point- I guess selfish may not necessarily be the right word, but just feel for the kid, he's more than likely gonna meet grief earlier than he should.

Like Jagger is not going to have moved on to something younger before the kid hits 5. He will have a new dad and a rich mum no worries.

Just because the father is young doesn't mean he'll be around or that the kid will even know who his father is. Don't think you really thought that one through to be honest.
