not exactly 'on site', but i hate when passengers put their hands up to thank other drivers who have pulled over to let you through. Thats the drivers job!

I hate that, I didn't realise I hated it but now you've articulated it, I really hate it.

to cool down at least a little bit. What's the general advice on that?

As long as the oil pump is still turning I cant see how it makes any difference . Letting it tick over is not cooling it down , its keeping it warm and wasting fuel . Do you leave your truck / car ticking over for a few mins when you get home ?

I do leave the truck ticking over for 30 secs or so before switching off.

Anything with a Turdo needs time for the turbo to slow down and running it dry was a no-no.... Or so I've always been told. Same as I wouldn't shut down my saws on full chat with the throttle closed.

de-rail sorry.

How bound this one? - When guys run their saws dry and think the lean out scream is their notifier that it's time to refuel.

You know that show 'Grumpy Old men' (been years since I've seen it on). I think there might be scope for 'Grumpy old Tree Surgeons' after flicking through this again. I never realised how much anger I have to keep bottled up inside on a daily basis :-).
