I don't see it as that much of an unknown - Trump as PODUS or Brexit.

Trump (just like Obama) has ideological changes as head mark ambitions for his term(s) in office.

And, just like Obama, he will not be able to unilaterally impose his will without checks & controls. Obama had flagship policies which he was determined to implement but failed to achieve: close GTB, impose restrictions of gun ownership etc and in a very similar vain, so does Trump. (I'm not suggesting Trump's aspirations are correct and Obama's were flawed - just saying that whatever the presidential aspiration might be, it doesn't always come to pass and as such, I don't feel that which might be perceived as radical (from either perspective) should necessarily be feared.

And as such, I don't see it as that much of an unknown - what we DO know, is that he won't be able to deviate too far from that which Senate will sanction - so not a drastic unknown really.

And briefly on Brexit, the EU "project" has eaten itself and is on the verge of implosion regardless of Brexit.

A curse on the house of all Bremoaners and a double curse on the political class of Bremoaners:

Strike down upon them with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to Bremoan my brothers.

So, nothing will change!

You can have ideas, then....

I'm not sure if that's a question or an example of a socialist with nothing more than paper cuts to compare with the hands of a working man??

It was about whether change for the sake of change was wonderful!!

On a sadder note Andrew Sachs has died!

Manuel.

Ah, gotcha!

Interesting question.

JC is, apparently, what grass roots Labour wanted. Long may it remain!

Alan Johnson just delivered a characteristically classy performance on QT. As was mentioned on the show, I always wondered why he didn't run for party leadership - the Tories would have been in deep do-do if he had.

I can't "do" Fawlty Towers etc, but as you say, a sad loss to TV comedy.

Apart from the sad loss to TVs comedy, I don't get the rest of your post Kevin!

Trump is great( 5mins in job) Jeremy( non establishment, but you'll find a way to link him to it) !

Why is Trump a great thing and Jeremy not?

23.000 majority overturned by the Lib Dems, a plebiscite on Mays, Brexit means brexit..

Forget the courts, forget the lunatic fringe, one more result like this and Brexit is over....

And I was wondering if the remainders might vote tactical in the next election.. looks like I have my answer..

Therisa May is now caught in a vice, between her own lunatic fringe wanting her to make progress on Brexit and her other MP's now in terrors of their places come the end of the next election...

No wonder a couple of leaks seeped out this week, internal polling must be showing whats gonna be on the cards in an election.. Wipeout for the Tories.....

Is that quote direct from the BBC?, well whoever it's from can dream on!

Firstly, London is heavily pro-remain, fortunately much of the rest of the country is pro-leave. Lets see how the Lib-Dems fair elsewhere!

Secondly, they'll most likely have harvested quite a lot of anti-Heathrow expansion votes as well.

Honestly, clutching at straws.

I disagree. Zac Goldsmith resigned from the Conservatives in protest to the Heathrow expansion plans. The Lib Dems fought an anti Brexit campaign and it seemed to be rather effective. Perhaps we're not doomed yet. :001_tongue:

Clutching at straws, more like looking at the evidence... a 23 thousand majority has been overturned on a pro EU ticket...

If all the marginal seats the Lib Dems target vote tactically for the same reasons, there might be a hung Parliament...

Remember the Tories increased their majority because the English didn't want to see a Labour SDP alliance last time round..

So their majority is built on slender foundations to begin with....

If every constituency's voters who supports remain pile onto a pro remain candidate, things might look totally different when the countings done next time round...

And, seeing as labour and Tory will be too scarred to fight on a pro remain ticket, their vote will be split.... theres gonna be a bloodbath I tell you...
