Hey TCD!

Can you name a single non religious POTUS mate?

Best way to be rid of me's to let this thread turn into a Trump macho man circle jerk.

Probably all of them if truth be known

Some day, some way, that truth may be known, in embarrassing detail.

Rumor is we're dealing with a read you like a book kinda entity.

Not a victors write the history scenario at all at all.

Truth's dreaded by lotsa people in power with good reason IMO.

Now I'm all for being pragmatic and objective about our new POTUS elect.

But apparently Trump held an off the record meeting with all the MSM heads today in Trump Tower.

Trump "Exploded" At Media Execs During Off-The-Record Meeting: "It Was A F--king Firing Squad" | Zero Hedge

This but another example of obstinancy trumping well defined historic precedent that worked, and was written into law to make sure it was observed, or your FCC broadcast license was revoked.

It was called The Fairness Doctrine, mandating that every FCC licensed news service, gave free airtime to any party to a news story with opposing views.

Repealed suspended n done away with by raygun in 86.

Both sides of the story, the reason Hanoi Jane made the nightly news n stuff.

Reinstating the fairness doctrine'd go a long way towards makin America great again IMHO.

But surely, to be "fair" the majority parties/points of view, should get a majority of the air-time?

Why should the paying majority fund the minority groups, most of whom are crackpots, demanding the unrealistic or unattainable, or unaffordable.

From my lifetime observations.

At least we can agree on something....:thumbup1:

But the big difference is that for you it's merely an observation, for me it's how I try to live my life.

It's supposed to be at the core of BBC broadcasting, yet the most of us know how "fair and balanced" BBC output manages to be!

However for Mr Trump, it does signal change and sends out a very clear and loud message of intent.

Which surely makes it a good thing for that reason alone.

Sure Diff, just as long as all parties are heard from, not shut out entirely.

If they're crackpots, it should be self evident.

TCM just ran the Guzman documentary on Allende's overthrow in Chile.

It was indeed chilling.
