I think the "secret" US attacks have probably served to convince Iran, (or more accurately the Ayatollahs), that the only way to protect themselves from Israel is to develop their own nuclear weapons. There's a good chance that they're now beavering away, redoubling their efforts to further enrich their stash of Uranium, that is now secretly stashed somewhere even safer. Talk about unintended consequences.

This doesn't bode well:

Turns out that Toddler Geopolitics, played out on social media doesn't quite work

Not taking sides here but if the Americans had missed their target somewhat and I was  Iran's foreign minister I would be saying that .

Likewise, if I was Iran I'd be saying very publicly "Yes Emperor Trump (of the new clothes type), you did big damage, set our Nuclear programme back to the beginning, your Twatter postings were correct. No need to negotiate now, everything destroyed".... whether the damage was total or not. Then what could Trump do? Go very public and say "Actually what I said was wrong, we didn't do massive damage" which his ego wouldn't let him do, or walk away and leave Iran alone (which his ego would let him do).

Anyway, I saw this this morning: Trump has made 4 or 5 trade deals since his Tariffs / Tax on US importers. Probably 4 or 5, he doesn't sound convinced, so knock this up to another resounding success that the 140 trade deals, 2 a day trade deals and all the other rubbish he spouted didn't happen. Succeeding in all he says ?
