Back when I was a chef, I had a weird little tradition where whenever I bought a new knife, I would use it almost exclusively for any task (unless it was too absurd... no paring knife for dismantling pumpkins, no bread knife for jointing chickens, etc) until it had drawn blood for the first time, at which point it could be rotated into regular service. Its blood lust quelled, it could be trusted and used as normal.

The first 5000 nails to go through this thing went absolutely fine, I accidentally got bitten today though... I was firing from a funny angle behind the scaffold, holding the batten up against a level marker, and my slightly-useless middle finger, the victim of cat bite and surgery, just forgot to not be in the way. Whoops!

At least I'm not pinned against the wall... could have been a lot worse. Lesson learned.

At least you could still give the offending tool The Middle Finger.

Was after a manual for our Caddy van and Ranger and came across this company. Manuals are in pdf format, the one for the Caddy is definitely VW official and the Ford one looks that wayas well. Very comprehensive and useful now that Haynes don't do proper manuals anymore. For £14.99 it's great value. Customer service was excellent with query I had plus got a discount when ordering the second one.

These two bob sand blast guns are worth a mention, use kiln dried paving sand. Before we start you dont want to be breathing this stuff so get a good mask.

A thousand and one uses, one that we can all relate to is crap and dirty connections in trailer sockets. Hard if not impossible things to get clean.
