There are loads of ex by mk7 s with new tipper body's for sale near me and a few mk6s but which is best?

Thanks

Will

Mrk 6 are plentiful and cheap so if you need an engine etc they are pennies watch for ones being rotten with the sills, steps and spring box hangers being prone to rot, mrk 7 are nicer to drive but engines are more expensive to source if they fail.

Personally id go for a solid low mile Mrk 6 and put a mrk 7 front on it as the 7 look nicer.

I drive both models regular.

I do like the mk6 transit.

Thing with all transits is they will go on the steps and sills anyhow! No matter weather mk 6 or 7.

I bought a good low mile truck a couple of years back and still run it now.

Mark 7 cab layout is much nicer, dash mounted gearstick and well thought out storage duckets.

6-speed box as well, my mk6 is only 5.

I doubt you'll find a mark 6 in good nick now, the backs tend to rot out even faster than the sills.

I need a new back pretty urgently.

Good trucks though, despite shocking legal load capacity.

I was on the bridge last week empty, 2 labs and tools in the cab 2820kg.

Also have a mk6/'56 with just 90hp, been a proper workhorse but with 120k its getting a bit tatty outside. Good ally arb body though which I'm hoping will fit a mk7? When the time comes.
