  2. Forestry Workers Wanted G.H Forestry Contractors are looking for operative’s for forestry maintenance contracts throughout Norhern England and also Dumfries and Galloway. Work involves tree planting ,spraying, hand weeding etc. Experience preferred but not essential as training can be given. Good rates of pay. PM for more details. Thanks Gary
  3. Absolutely agree. It takes a bit to make me dig my feet in in situations like this, in this situation I would argue my case all the way. The hire company cannot defend their lack of actions, ie blades utterly blunt and the all important setting of gap between flywheel blade and anvil has been completely neglected.
  4. can i just ask why not bar oil? its designed for the job at hand and therefore works well through pumps and looks after bars and chains.
  5. That is the problem with some hire companies,
  6. There isn't a single thing in the whole garden except that small tree to soak up the rain. I'd recommend a similar remedy to difflock's approach, but try and keep the blast above ground. Then start again.
  7. This is plan B. Plan C consists of enlarging the hole and build a swimming pool.

  9. following from difflock, on clarksons farm a company came out and used high pressure air to create cracks in the clay, they then filled the cracks with seaweed to hold them open - they did it in a puddle and you could see the bubbles coming up through the puddle showing where they aerated the clay. i would say worth looking into. also agree that that hole is the only permeable bit of your garden and is therefore acting as a sump for all the run off, a vigorous grass would help with this as it would hold the water and use it rather than letting it runoff however you wanted artificial so it is what it is
  10. It’s a poplar. Doesn’t look too bad. Wait and see.
  11. got a tree at the end of my garden - no clue what it is really but i have a feeling its dying as it was the first tree to loose its leaves around us last year by about a month, it was then the first tree to put leaves on this year - canopy started off well but it has thinned with time, not massively but it has. got some pics of a couple lower branches, that i trimmed the heartwood looks weird to me and all of them had pinholes in the center. just wondering what people think, it poses no danger and ill quite happily fell it if needed. thanks.
  12. As I understand it, it was more 'hurty words' to someone of a sensitive disposition who didn't like being told to eff off after the artiste said after numerous times they didn't want to be filmed at that time back stage. Hurty words trumps a lot of things nowadays. Just look at Scotlands new law.
  13. Today
  14. The stuff I was chipping was clean and fresh cut, no soil contamination. I blocked the spout by allowing material to build up. I was chipping into bulk bags held up by my loader tractor. When I opened it to clear the spout there was a load of wire around the flywheel bearing. Not from me because there was no wire where I was, they were my trees in my field. Probably the joys of having a hire machine abused by others. Oh, the spout was only just blocked, quick poke with a stick and it was clear. Took longer to undo the bolts than clear it. Chip was going to be used as mulch but probably more useful as kindling!
  15. Always think Graham Norton has a similar style to Wogan. Watched most of it last night, think the best of the evening was abba at the end, only spoiled by the handful of current singers paying homage. I'd rather see Agnetha uninterrupted in all her glory.
  16. Was 'hijacked' as a showcase for a different take on life, and as a result has just turned into race to the bottom of who can be the most outlandish and freakiest. Nothing to do with music (yes, it did used to be...albeit a bit cheesy) and all to do with politics and the 'message' Loved it in the days of Wogan taking the rise out of it with his commentary, but not watched it since his demise.
  17. [email protected] Send an email (change capitals to lower case)
  18. I hope it's not you that writes the warranty page in the manual!.
  19. Ok, so the blades are a bit blunt, and maybe a few adjustments are required, but don’t loose sight of the real news story here, namely, the thing seems to have run a whole day without breaking down.
  20. When I try to login doesn't recognize my user or mail, requested password reset 3 times, no reply. I still see me there just can't acess
  21. It's even got a step where they've not even bothered to sharpen it properly. Plus that's not a gap it's a gorge!.
  22. No reported issues. Got your password right?
  23. That’s worse than blunt anvil to blade should be a fag paper I’ve seen sharper hammer mills
  24. That edge should be sharp, it’s totally blunt. How clean was the material you were chipping? Any soil contamination at all?
