I've got a couple of the 2511 left in 1/4 pitch. Send us a message and we can have a chat.

Scared of a worm. Poof. Aim for it. Show it who’s boss. I picked an apple up from a mate’s garden the other day. Had an obvious wormhole. No hesitation. No surrender. Straight into the arsehole end of it and ate everything bar the stalk. I like to think I made some sort of point there.

@Lou Brown If it's a value for money petrol saw for aerial pruning, then : Echo2511 (or an equivalent cheaper copy -though I wouldn't, personally). It's in a class of It's own. If it's a battery powered PRUNING saw, then: 1. The new Makita UC029G 40v -the last few left in the UK, were at ITS ( otherwise, wait untill Jan '26). 2.18v Milwaukee Fuel pruning saw -a solid option. 3. Sthil GTA40 pruning saw . I own/use all the above pruning saws for our work. I've also tried plenty of others. My choice might vary, according to what the nearest good dealer stocks, though.

I know the feeling Doug. That took me a good 10 minutes of trying random letter combinations before I suddenly got the inspiration. Wordle 1,524 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ 🟨⬜🟩🟨⬜ ⬜🟨🟩⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Every echo dealer can source the standard 1/4" cs2511, including, funnily enough us. But, we are also out of stock. We had half a dozen come in the other week but they were already sold. There is a supply issue atm so its a few more weeks before stock comes back into the UK.

From where? Chainsawbars are the only people I know of and they've been out of stock for ages.
-
Tried growing tomatoes in hanging baskets. In essence, it worked but the brand is one with a right tough skin which I don't like! Such a shame!
-
Damson wine? I was tempted to with some of ours, only decided against it as I've 101 other things I need to do at the moment. I've a friend who makes it, it's very good.

Wow - good crop! hoping to make some more jam in the next day or two, preserve a few, then in a week it’s the next tree will be fully ripe. Not quite sure what to make from this lot ?
-
You just buy the saw with a 1/4" bar and chain as opposed to the 3/8".

Picked the majority of our one small tree this evening. Best year it's had in a long time. It was laden. Plus a couple more small bowls that we've already eaten. That lot is destined to be stewed and bottled tomorrow. I thought about jam but there's still too many jars in the cupboard from previous years. The strange thing is that here was not one single worm in all that lot. Very surprising as there's normally a good few. Something to do with the extremely dry summer I wonder?

yes they are good, we have about 10 sets and they dont give too many problems

Had a stihl 201 t, was flat on power needed a new carb @£300 just out of warranty -never ran right from new and was not that great , neither a quick cutter like an 020t and no grunt also .😐 Only good thing about stihl is the resale value on eBay -
How’d you do a 1/4” pitch setup? can you tune the 362?

The cs362 t is just a bit bulky/slow not what I thought it would be from echo even though ive put a few tanks through it, its ok on the bigger work. regarding echo id agree with you . Cs362t reminds me of the cs270 the earlier top handle ...but at least it runs ! -
A sudden change of tune from before when Trump was also suggesting that the Ukraine should concede territory, roll over, and let the invaders take what they want to. 3 things happened this week: - Trump met Putin, suggests that the Ukraine gives over territory, no cease fire, just negotiate end of war - Trump met Zelensky, suggests a cease fire should happen before anything else. Goes quiet on giving up territory. - Russia bombs a US owned factory, Trump suggests "interesting times ahead" and the Ukraine should have been allowed to fight back - the opposite of Monday and rolling over. Still a couple of days left in the week for Trump to set out his definite position on the war. Depends I think who talks to him next, spineless and just says what he thinks will please the latest person to talk to him.

I’m after a Picco chain to put on my Echo 2511… it’s a stihl light 14” bar, I purchased a stihl Picco 1/4 1.1mm 72DL that got recommended to go with it and it’s a link or 2 to short, fits the stihl 150 fine but not the echo, maybe it’s a different sprocket on stihl 150 then echo cs2511 I’m unsure! Annoying as I can’t seem to find the same chain but a drive link larger! any recommendations for Picco chains for a 14” bar stihl?

I've never put tree surveys onto plans, how are you going to be recording the info? GPS locations through to printed plans and a sharpie?

Trump blaming Biden for not letting Ukraine play offensive, nothing to stop Trump righting the situation now Trump on Thursday appeared to vent his frustration at Russia’s obstruction. In a post on Truth Social, the US president blamed his predecessor, Joe Biden, for not allowing Ukraine to “fight back” against Russia. “It is very hard, if not impossible, to win a war without attacking an invaders country. It’s like a great team in sports that has a fantastic defense, but is not allowed to play offense. There is no chance of winning! It is like that with Ukraine and Russia. Crooked and grossly incompetent Joe Biden would not let Ukraine FIGHT BACK, only DEFEND. How did that work out? … Interesting times ahead!!!” Trump wrote.

That’s a bloody good point. A climber brought up on a 2511 and 362 could easily stay with the brand for life.
