  1. Past hour
  2. Just back from Fratton Park . 2--1 to us in the dying seconds . The Chalton fans were chanting " we never loose at Fratton Park " and we slotted the winner ! Brilliant .
  3. Mange tout mange tout!
  4. Today
  5. There is no way on Earth that French passport control would allow that many Bolam's into the country! Mick, get you and your country men down to Calais pronto! They are invading, and they will drink all of your wine. Have a good 1 Bolam crew.
  6. I was farming children but it hasn't been that profitable so have packed in the breeding program. Generally I chuck overalls on if I know I am doing some mechanicky type stuff but you can't always plan your breakdowns. Track off the chipper twice the week before Christmas, one time I had just tracked through a t-rex size dog egg! 🤢. Got a bit mucky then, grease not dog shit, nearly new sip keiu jacket on. On the farm the cow and sheep crap can stain your clothes easily but if it was a dedicated farm waterproof then I probably wouldn't be fussed and about the state of it.
  7. Pete B lad Tom races cars over in the US I should imagine he would have some good contacts to get a decent truck.
  8. What do you farm? Do you not wince at geting grease, hydraulic oil etc on pricey stuff like Swazi/Kaiwaka/Betacraft?
  9. I’ve not seen any trucks like the 78 v8 high boy in the uk unless they’re in private collections and not for sale. In the US they’re readily available and in very good condition and good value for money if I’ve got the duty, shipping etc calculations worked out correctly - just wanted to see if anyone can advise on how easy it was or if I’ve missed something.
  10. Bonnet de douche!
  11. Can you not buy one in uk? Mates just sold the v8 varient ?
  12. The ai videos are getting better and better. Good knows where will be in a few years! Although this isn't that great and it's fairly simple it's bleeding impressive imo. Imagine how much this would have cost 5 years ago to produce.
  13. Got down to Tours ok Mick!
  14. I have owned a Greenmech abtrak150 for 9 years and had a few problems but nothing i couldnt fix with spanners and a mig welding set. Decided to upgrade to 2021 165DT Limited edition 45hp, need some tlc to make me happy. What a machine in some ways to powerful but in a good way, had to change the way a load chip into trailers but love it. Eaisally 50/% quicker than 150

  15. Mix of flexothene and then Swazi/kaiwaka/betacraft. I'm still out feeding up in my 15year old cut and climb, no hay sticks to that, so porous that hat goes through it along with the rain!
  16. Best time to purchase a new tv they are cheap as chips in the sales. Go for LG or smasung pete they are by far the best except for sony.
  17. My stick was £65! Tbh, the tv was a 30", 20 years old and the LG software was no longer supported.
  18. I need to replace my lines. Had tachyon for a while, bit stretchy for srt, once your weight is in it it's good, find it's great for drt. Not sure how one would cope on a windy day the stretch is handy then. Did replace my short line with some drenaline but I find that hard to hold onto, but is improving as it fluffs up. Not sure what to get next.
  19. I was on a job in California recently and a couple of the guys were rating Globe 3000 for a work rope. That's all I know🤷‍♂️
  20. Squir has been my second favourite to date. It knots well enough and is very static. My fave ever is the non CE Donaghys Cougar Blue. That stuff is like steel cable! It appears to only be available from Donaghys in 100m and I want 60m🙄. What's all this news about soaking them overnight? What is the advantage? Thanks. Al.

  22. Evening gents, hope everyone’s well. -7 at night, around 0 through the day today, misty and slippy! The wee one is 4 weeks old tomorrow.
  23. We dodged that by buying a Firestick, £20 a lot cheaper than a new telly.
  24. Proper farmers wear Screwfix high vis and a Frosty Jack's loyalty scheme peaked cap.
  25. Ridgeline smocks are popular because they're cheap, long on the thigh (when a lof of other jackets aren't) and good enough for what most people who wear them do. Plus they've become the uniform (fashion I suppose) for a lot of rural types (largely shooting and peripheral), which is an advantage in itself. Say you're out at a bonfire night and are wondering where to stand. You might see a bloke in a Ridgeline smock and stand near him because there's a good chance you can strike up a conversation about a shared interest. They might be a pain with dust sticking etc but that's fine. They're not designed for full-on hard work. That's what stuff probably more like Kaiwaka is for. P.S. For the rare occasions I work in the rain, I wear some Regatta piece of crap that I don't like and therefore don't cry about when I catch a dog on it. Aware little help to anyone needing something good for every day but why not write it anyway for only the cost of a few more ounces of Steve's bandwidth.
  26. I only spent 5 minutes on Google but that seems to be a sailing rope? Then adapted to use for Treemotion bridge. I have some Kalimba to use next but not actually climbed on it yet. What I actually use on everyday work climbs is still the bit of Yale Hedera which is about 5 years old and been nicked/spiked and trimmed down to about 20m by now. Slightly fluffy and comfy like old slippers, soft and easy to knot, doesn't flatten in RRP which I never ever have to adjust between spruce, leylandii, wet, dry, summer, winter. Nice and short so less tail to manage and drag around. 11.7mm is a good compromise between easy grip and low weight. Seems really the ideal rope is a compromise, if you do taller trees then thinner could be important for less weight. Longer rope walks you might be glad of less stretch I guess. I think I'm going to get another device to put on the Kalimba for bigger trees and then keep RRP on 20m of Hedera/blue tongue for everyday, but I'm holding off to see whether it's Vertec - or the Reflex turns out as good as it might be.
  27. A.J. injured in Nigerian car crash with two others dead .
