  2. I will agree but for very different reasons.... Farages constant politicising and divisive politics jumps on the small boats as a photogenic issue, and the way things are going are going to give him a good chance at power... and for this reason this will not improve things. Farage has all the political competence of a mushroom. Apart from this single issue, he has no policies... Farage in power will lead to a sell off of the NHS, will lead to censorship of the press, will lead to a higher national debt... and from that an increased tax burden on us all for many years to come, pensions will no longer be state funded but follow the US and no state help for those with nothing. Divisive politics has been his life, and in power will continue that way, the UK will splinter further than it is now. Yes the small boats are going to cause many problems and the greatest of these - for us all - is the threat of Farage in power. Take a step backward, away from emotions and ask, in all seriousness, has Farage any ability to lead a country... the answer is no.
  3. if he even listens to it all, quite upsetting when a different narrative is presented Getting Johnsond to believe what those guys are saying is like trying to get a Christian or Muslim to believe Man evolved from microorganisms in the sea

    Ladders

First proper use of ladder. I like it, very stable. It fits well on the roof rack, rungs are perfectly spaced. It'll extend two steps higher.
  5. Very nice. Croquet mallet? What is the wood, I don't recognise it?

  7. No, I think that there's probably more than a shred of truth to it. What did you think @Johnsond?

    DIY Big Shot

Interesting, something I have thought about doing and I bought a set of excersize bands for it last year - I remember the thick one is something like 60 or 80kg pull strength and would likely launch a throw bag to the moon! I dont know if I'd care for the trigger but its a neat solution. I'll watch the video later. I wouldnt really want to carry an extra steel pole. I wonder if a launcher head could be affixed to my Magnusson pruner pole or to my ladders.
  9. In loo of machinery a good breakfast I assume .
  10. It was cheaper to have wife insured on my truck than just me .
  11. Has been know for tree surgeons too
  12. We will never tax our way to prosperity. Those who take risks “ rather than sit in a cushy public sector job” and try and build wealth etc are already well hammered in this country.
  13. Of course the boats aren’t the only problem, but you have to admit they certainly don’t improve things either? Yesterday alone will cost us another £42m/year. Making greedy rich bastards pay their fair share AND stopping the boats aren’t mutually exclusive.
  14. Exactly this. They are an easy scape goat, cheap headlines, and nothing more really but to divert our attention by half whit politicians with no clue how to fix what is broken and to improve what is not.
  15. And his lovely little Suzuki. Come back, Pat.
  16. This weekend's effort, all from scratch.
  17. the video is 40 minutes, you will probably think its all made up to portray Israel in a negative light
  18. I used to like Pat Ferrets one . The little tubby geezer in the super hero cape . 🙂
  19. 890 people arrested at Palestine Action protest yesterday - including 17 on suspicion of assaulting police officers APPLE.NEWS A total of 857 individuals were arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000 over alleged offences, while... That will be those peaceful people supporting that regime that raped and slaughtered men women and children not so long ago.
  20. Funny isn't it. You get to feel like you know people from their online persona. And why wouldn't you. They're still a person; just a person talking to you on a forum rather than in the queue at a petrol station. I've seen a band whose members' videos I've watched on youtube and meeting them afterwards and saying sick set bro was a funny little hero meeting experience. I'm just old enough to remember the days before the internet so can appreciate it from a zoomed out view so to speak. Not sure how kids now perceive the whole thing. The internet might not be the internet to them. It might just be life, seamlessly integrated with the rest of life.
  21. Oh why anything? It's a bit of fun. I have a few different watchstraps. I'm wearing the firm colours today because I'm on the phone with my web bloke. When I work on the winch, I wear pink. When I do a job or need to be hard nosed about something financial, I wear yellow, the broadly accepted colour of capitalism. The garden keys are green because plants are green. The shed keys are blue because the shed keys growing up were 'the blue keys.' Little visual things make life that little bit easier, like Mick said.
  22. totally - in one day, say witb an asylum grant rate at 80%, you now have to build enough houses for 800 people, more houses than the day before. It would of course be just as bad for housing if 800 care workers came in each day In the old days the elderly just had to suffer. The illegals are worse for us money wise, but all migrants need land. Send them to Russia, plenty of land there
  23. So the answer is tax people more and just ignore the 1000 a day illegals. 🤷‍♂️👍if only we “ got it “ The cost to this country in the long term is way beyond just a financial burden.
