Why not just fell it back into the banking with a pull rope tied to one of the vehicles and drag it out? Do Von realise now he will have to get extra LOLeR checks done now it has been used as a crane/load handler? π

Good Morning Nice one Pete. Good news indeed. Sorry I'm late Stubby. Caught up on all the missed sleep this week. Lots of lime to cut/split and stack. Bollywood evening in local pub tonight. Curry, Music and good company what could be better? Have a great weekend.

Yesterdayβs job was a sycamore on a bank beside a moat. Pretty straightforward apart from the stem logs that we couldnβt drop because of a bridge and uplight at the base, and couldnβt risk them bouncing into the moat. As they got heavier they couldnβt be wrestled into the cage as it sent the weight limit over. Cracked off with a keeper rope, second man bailed out the cage then turned the MEWP into a crane. Worked really well. Not massive, about 50kg. Lovely spot. Joseph Conradβs old house. IMG_0003.mov IMG_0006.mov

All the best with it Pete. Morning all. Been a quick week, gone in a blur of storm damage. Bit of a change next week with a big willow to remove then a course to go on. Got my mates hedge to cut today, hopefully get the worst of the chores done too and make Sunday a lazy one. Have a good one folks.

Congrats Pete.

Widow to fight for change over husband's 'senseless' tree death BBC.COM Fiona Hall calls for regular safety inspections after husband Chris was killed by a falling branch. Just watched this on the news, unsure whether itβll come to anything.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c205g21n1zzo I've been waiting to hear about this as I was invited to be part of the trial in the UK. The UK results should hopefully confirm the US results and we will have better and earlier diagnosis of cancer. Great news !
