  2. You are so very wrong about usyk that guy would have beaten the very best in the past apart from Ali. He is such a clever boxer with a granite chin. He reminds me of Mayweather but in a bigger size.
  3. These fights are as scripted as an Eastenders episode - I hope I’m wrong but it’s all about money! Boxing hasn’t lost its credibility, it’s just the heavy weight division that has. Work your way down the weights and boxing is still alive and kicking with some great fighters/fights. AJ is poo, Tyson was poo - I like Usyk but he’s hardly been tested (cleaned out the cruiser weight division and then nothing notable) and couldn’t hold a torch to boxers of the past or maybe he could if there was a worthy opponent which there isn’t/hasn’t been. I shall do what I’ve previously done and wait to watch the YouTube highlight on Sunday morning, secretly hoping that aj sparks him in the first round.
  4. Sounds very much like the ford ranger scheme. The quality of the work was atrocious, underseal on top of dirt and rust, mine came back with the masking paper still rammed everywhere in the engine bay. Big promises from ford but in reality just a bodge job.
  5. *Bump* So from a phone call with Makita UK yesterday, it would seem like the new 24m/s 40v Makita UC031G pruning saw (see Stere and Krams posts, above) should be on dealers shelves, before Easter 2026. However, if you can't wait, importing one directly from Japan was £1k -plus Import taxes, last time I looked! It seems the excellent 40v Makita UC029G pruning saws are now back in UK stock again, having sold out this summer. It's still my favourite small pruning saw, by a country mile. In other related news, I was fascinated to see the details of a new Echo 56v pruning saw DHS3006, boasting the (much improved) Mk2 battery pack, Echo's magical harness clip AND belt clip, an 8m/s chain speed, all weighing in at a meagre 1.1kg (plus battery). The motor power rating is a healthy 560W, and availability by March '26?. Quoted prices for battery, body and charger at £427- incl VAT I was told today. Although it costs more than most offerings, I suspect this might effectively grasp first place, in the Best performing small pruning saw section.. More details on the Echo website.

  7. Need to have owned it for 6 months for them to inspect it. Once you've had it that long, if the recall is still running they will inspect and deem either it needs rubbing back and wax oiled or full replacement if its bad enough, then you wait for a date. The full replacement will take months in the shop, they offer a truck "like for like" as a replacement but not a chip box just lockable canopy, tow bar and number of seats are relevant from what I've been told. The respray is meant to take them a week, I've been told i'll be getting a replacement car not a truck for that week. From what a chap with a box told me, they've said they'll do them if the box is "properly" done by a "arb tipper" fabricator with all the boxes ticked.
  8. Well its clear the clutch was a gonner from the first images posted, only one clutch shoe left, no wonder it took out the side cover.

  11. If work is your thing it makes sense. Stopping activity does do you any favours. For me I'm not into it, work for me is earning money to do hobbies. As such the conflict more as you age.. or atleast I am finding. As someone else pointed out reductions are harder, killing trees amd rigging on spikes is much easier.
  12. Mega well done. I had a go at a gym the start of the year, lifted 120kg and thought I was going to either snap or shit myself...

  13. Found out for certain the bar that fits the Efco 4510 or the Oleo Mac 451 is actually a K041 mount. It oils through the large holes that the chain tensioner fits into, there is no other hole in the bar for oiling though people put K095 mount bars on these with laminated Aluminium cores and drill the aluminum clamped between the rails to allow oil to flow up the tensioning hole and into the bar rail. This will work, BUT the K095 bar has an oil hole in the side of it, so that would need plugged or the oil would get out of it as the casing does not seal it. Best off to get the correct K041 mount bar, though I see no lightweight bars in this mount there are the usual laminated ones from Oregon and even Husqvarna. UPDATE TO SHOW BAR NUMBERS The correct bar for Oregon is 180MLBK041 or 180TXLBK041. The TXL bar is lightweight aluminum core, but not for sale in Ireland, have seen them in Poland though.
  14. Thanks for posting. The seller of the saw sent me an image of the bar, it stated K041. Hope this helps others looking for info on what bar the Efco 4510 or the Oleo MAC 451 uses. I bought the saw off this guy locally as I had bars and chains that fit so will save me quite a bit of money on replacements, he only used it to tidy up after a tree fell on his drive during a stom a few months ago, a bargan to me if there is such a thing in a clamshell.
  15. They only take the case on if the accused are 'not white'... a rich white man accused of crimes against a woman... not a peep (sorry, 19 December, in the US 'Epstein Day' - is another example - from that side of the atlantic)
  16. Mike Cow: "The Duke of Marlborough, Charles James Spencer-Churchill (Winston’s grandson) who was charged with 3 counts of strangulation of his wife, has had his court hearing adjourned until the 5th of January because he was 'unable to attend' due to other commitments. Two tier justice. Where are Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage now? Silent, like the establishment bootlickers that they are. They don’t care about the welfare of women and girls. Clearly."
  17. 20. When Joe Hewitt launched Hewitt Tree Surgery in Cornwall in June 2024, he knew exactly what equipment he needed to compete in the domestic market. After nearly five years working his way from apprentice to fully qualified climber, including stints in Australia and New Zealand, he'd learned that reliable equipment makes all the difference. The FSI B21 stump grinder was the natural choice to complete his fleet, expanding the range of services he can offer to domestic customers across the county. Growing from the Ground Up “After I completed my apprenticeship, I started subcontracting, climbing for a lot of other tree surgeons throughout Cornwall” Joe explains. “I then spent some time working in Australia and New Zealand before coming back and setting up on my own.” Since launching, Joe has welcomed a new team member and a growing customer base to his books. “We’ve invested in everything we need to service the domestic market – van, hand tools and woodchipper – and this year decided to get our own stump grinder. We found we were hiring one fairly frequently, but this was reliant on availability and sometimes involved a lot of running around to collect a machine, only to find it wasn’t in the best of working condition.” The Right Fit for the Job Cornwall’s coastal landscape brings plenty of challenges, from narrow gardens to steep steps, which made the lightweight FSI B21 the perfect choice. “It’s light and compact enough to lift and manoeuvre around properties and steps, but powerful enough to handle most of the stumps we see in a residential garden. We’d previously hired the slightly larger FSI B22 so I knew first off to expect fantastic build quality and reliability. In addition, the FSI B21 is equipped with some useful features such as the hill-hold brake assist which is great for loading on trucks and working on slopes. It’s fitted right in with how and where we work” comments Joe. FSI: Backed with Confidence Joe’s decision to buy FSI was also backed by reputation and experience. He adds, “A lot of arb community groups praise FSI and from my own experience I’ve got only positive things to say.” This positivity extends too, to the relationship he’s established with FSI and his local dealer partner, Elmstar Machinery. “Jason at Elmstar has been brilliant. He was joined by FSI’s Lee Hatton on the install in September 2025 who, together, gave me all the information and tips I needed to get the very best out of my machine.” He concludes, “The FSI B21 has been an affordable, versatile addition to the fleet, helping us expand our services as we continue to grow the business in new ways.”

  23. In need of a big supply of wood chip for our forest school area and lots of new playground areas we’re building around school. We can’t take Yew, Cherry Laurel, Leylandii or Black Walnut. Looking for native wood for the wildlife garden but we’ll be able to make use of most chip types around school. Can tip onto the car park with some advanced warning. We also need native brush/ cuttings for the wildlife garden. Branches and logs (any kind of wood apart from the ones listed) for den building, seating and play areas. We’re also looking for a large strong tree structure/ trunk with branches for the kids to climb on.
