spandit started following Woodland costs
-
It's an expensive way of getting firewood. You'll need a method of cutting it and getting it out. 3 acres isn't a vast amount for it to be sustainable. Fencing will keep out people and deer (if it's high enough) but may not be necessary or worth it. If you want to bring a vehicle in there, then you'll need a decent track if it's not a 4x4 based mobile home. That is expensive and could need planning permission. A woodland with that existing will probably have a higher pricetag. Woodlands.co.uk are a money making business and I know they don't allow shooting in their woodlands but otherwise may not be too restrictive. I wonder how many lots that they sell actually get managed properly and lead to healthier woodland overall?

I don't know where in North Lincolnshire you are looking. I know there is some for sale through woodlands.co.uk near Broughton. If you look on local council website, it all appears to be covered by TPO, so that might be worth checking as well.

A nearby farmer purchased a teleporter and had the bag lifter for sale, they used to have a drill or spreader mounted on the lifter, I looked at it and thought it was ideal to mount my winch, it worked out really well, the lifter will extend another meter and a half and I have a set of tongs to fit on the end, or I can run the winch cable through a pulley attached to the lifter in place of the hook and use it like a skidder, it has proved itself a very versatile combination.
