Tis the season to see Fungi, fa la la la la....

I assumed they were Lichens, but only because they didn't look like fungi or moss. They were all on a granite bridge on the edge of Dartmoor. Very damp environment. Dunno about your builders foam. Probably fungi, it should be fairly obvious if it was actually foam. -
The problem with the left is it's all just endless talk, you probably want everyone to share their feelings and dreams whilst going auww. Atleast the WI can bake a cake and brew a drink.

OK. I follow. I'd be deeply concerned. I don't want to live in a violent shithole. The problem is that it's already a violent shithole. Anyone who wants to use violence for whatever, can. Most people here are so milquetoast that the concept of foreceful resistance is alien. There's a poem called, "AMERICA IS A GUN." There might as well also be one called, "ENGLAND IS A CRIME REFERENCE NUMBER AND A DISAPPOINTING ENGAGEMENT WITH THE HOME AND CONTENTS INSURERS." Now as it happens, I do have an amount of faith in the English condition, that some freedom wouldn't boil over all brashly like it does in other countries. I like to think we're capable of restraint and tolerance etc. Or at least that the weather is bad enough to keep tempers broadly cool. But that is still a secondary consideration. My primary interest reamins the rights of the individual. I don't see why anybody should be owned more than they can own themselves.

Interesting, is it litchen, as its on rock? Felled a small tree today and noticed in the yew opposite, what looks like old builders foam? Is it fungi? -
This is the oldest, roughest and highest houred of my 3 but I think its my favourite 😆 🤦🏻 First photo was a lovely job a few weeks back, scraping brambles and piling up rubbish in a field over a couple of late afternoons/early evenings. More jobs like that would be perfect!

He said how many mass shootings in UK- you UK shootings. No idea. London, probably one happening now. What does it matter anyway? To me it seemed as though you were not giving any concern at all to the point being made that mass shootings in UK are rare, compared to US. Mass shootings - it seems like you wouldn't really care if mass shootings started happening frequently here (on a par with US, proportionate to our one fifth population size), as long as people can all carry a gun for self defense thats the most important thing?
-
Sorry. I've missed your point. Spell it out please.

You wrote 'what does it matter anyway?' in your reply. You actually wrote that

I get the news from arbtalk and memes. An Eritrean grooming gang is coming to eat my dog and blight my potatoes. Nicki Minaj has had her shoulder tapped to sit on the bench at the Hague. Sir David Beckham retains the title at the Mercian Jousting Tournament.

I don't see it as waffling, I was giving you some examples. Sometimes people's reading/news choices have a huge impact on their views. Yours are pretty right wing in general so I'm curious about what provides you with these viewpoints on a variety of issues.

he asked a reasonable question - if he'd asked me I would have told him. How was it unreasonable? Why not satisfy his curiosity and tell him which papers you read online?

Cannot beat an old inner tube - so many uses. Also see 'Wild Sling' for another use. And windfalls. Seen this, D ring and a couple of steel cable ties.

And every potential crime becomes potentially opposed by an armed goodie. Evenly distributed, quiet law enforcers who don't care what you write on twitter but don't want offences against people and property happening where they live. But I don't want to argue that it's better for everybody. I want anyone who says people shouldn't carry to look into the eyes of an unarmed rape victim, mugging victim, violence victim etc and tell them their suffering was for the greater good. My view is built on respect for individuals to conduct their lives how they see fit. Bigger pictures then work themselves out. Unless of course you trust the people who make the rules about this sort of thing currently to decide what's best for everyone everywhere? And trust them to defend you since they've forbidden you from defending yourself. UK shootings. No idea. London, probably one happening now. What does it matter anyway?

Didn't like Javid, ruined The Kirk by taking its business away (we got about), Christmas in The Kirk most years, summers we went to The Mall, gave MacMillans a miss mostly.. but yes, from about age 16 to mid 20s. Not sure we got the 10p pints that year though, though they ring a bell (might be that I did get them and just cannot remember)

I edited my post as you added yours: "Interesting framing. From my perspective, I see the BBC as being mostly right leaning. All that clatter with Corbyn juxtaposed with the Kremlin was no accident. There is a huge amount of money behind Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, and more, and it's not their money. It is no coincidence that they are all aligned with bilionaire funded disinformation pipelines. BBC though, they do make some good nature shows, their local and national radio is top drawer, and sports coverage is canny too. "

My usual barometer for a subject is read whatever shite you've posted, realise it's the washed up ranting of a nutter and know it's the opposite.

Not sure what you mean by Interesting Framing? Enlighten me please, I am just a Northern Monkey. Oh, they make good Nature shit as well.

Alex, I like guns. I like pistols. If I lived in a place where handguns were commonly carried, I'd carry one to level the playing field. In the UK concealable handguns are essentially restricted to police, armed forces and certain RFDs. If you open that up to the public every knife crime becomes a gun crime. Can you tell me the last time a mass shooting was carried out in the UK with a handgun? I'm not aware of any since Dunblane, but i stand to be corrected.

That isn’t the point. Trump isn’t worried about you, you shouldn’t be worried about him. The point is this the BBC deliberately manipulated a narrative and spliced two totally unrelated parts of a speech which was over an hour long in order to make it seem something it wasn’t. Do you remember the Andrew Tate interview the BBC did whilst he was under house arrest in Romania? They released a completely doctored version of the interview which was full of leading questions. Andrew Tate had his own film crew there recording the whole interview. The BBC took their interview down quick sharpish after Tate released his version. He had an idea that is what they would do and sure enough The BBC were at it again. They have also been questioned over their Anti Semetic reporting of the Gaza Israel conflict. The list goes on. The only thing I look at the BBC for is their sport coverage. At least they would have trouble fabricating a bunch of lies about that.

I can imagine several cyclists returning to their pedals to find scraps of cut innertube hanging out, near to a freshly cut stump 😆 Kong, and I'm sure others, do a twisted carabiner which would allow the bar to sit nicely parrallel to the harness. Might prevent the chain catching on trousers.. I dont know if it would.
