  1. Past hour
  2. So I take it there is no longer a leak in the head, which is good. It doesn't sound too bad to be honest. Yes incorrect valve adjustment could cause those backfires and loss of power - loose valves don't seal properly allowing unburnt fuel in when it shouldn't. Also you mentioned a dirty carb, this could mess with the fuel mix and cause backfires.
  3. See very few around second hand. People tend to hang on to them.

  10. I've managed to get it running until hot, helps if you remember to refill the tank Dufus... It was spluttering oil out of the exhaust briefly until it seemed to burn off and now exhaust smell has much improved. Is the spluttering and back firing caused by the valves needing adjusting properly? VID_20250812_171453.mp4
  11. Ted used a truckload of Ken Tyrrell's old racing tyres to light a bonfire at a site we were clearing in Byfleet, I ran and hid.I could see the smoke from New Haw.
  12. Sounds about right, the Pineapples on their shirts had me smirking.
  13. Mr Ben was one of my favourites as a kid. RIP.
  14. That was one of the reason I posted the pics. As well as a fine looking table, the legs seemed to really finish it in a good way.
  15. Was there something a while back that reefs regenerate quicker than the scientists thought they would or am I making that up? (something that they'd found one in Australia that had grown a lot more than expected or something like that)
