  2. Which independent sources, may I ask? I take your point wrt 5 Pillars. Not a great name.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Whe the nuts are slackened a tiny bit, is the bar lifting up away from the saw, if somethings bent so its not sitting correctly until fully tightened, that will do it. With saw on its side, slacken nuts, adjust tension, press down on the tip of bar, whilst somone holds the saw and see if tension changes.
  5. Interesting stuff, fan wheels exploding could be dangerous. The serial number range implies there could be a lot of units affected!
  6. Loose your phone and its a life stop. Steve Jobs, you've got to hand it to him, he saw/created the future.
  7. Its the constant verify that annoys me. The fact that its 'easier' using the phone doesn't sit well with me.
  8. Looking at the vids and pics It looks like the zigzag bit is way chunkier than a Petzl zigzag.
  9. Product Recall: Stihl BR 800 Backpack Blower (2511-0019) - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Product Recall for Stihl BR 800 Backpack Blower presenting a risk of injuries.
  10. Cut from the same cloth as West Bank settlers.
  11. https://www.iscwales.com/Products/Detail/reflex-mechanical-hitch/ ISC don't offer any guidance and if they did, it's not going to be in the bag with it when an employee is issued it (without the swivel) and told to go and climb a tree and not complain. I've never done a tree climbing course btw. My mother held me by the heel and dipped me in a river, which endowed me with all the strength and wisdom I've ever needed. I do take your point on nothing being truly idiot proof. But you strive to make stuff as idiot proof as possible and ISC have not strived enough.
  12. Well you climb SRT, so you only use half a rope. You maniac.
  13. Ask logs and saws, he does Husqvarna saws. https://logsandsaws.co.uk/
  14. Thanks for your reply do you know any American company thats ships to England thats reliable?
  15. but the main links are only one sided to allow the rope installation. Hence my comment of only half the material.
  16. No no. I was delighted to see it at first. Then deliberately open minded. And now I'm settling in to the grim realisation that it's just more tat. I don't even care that much about climbing stuff. But I do care about people missing open goals and filling the world with clutter. We don't need more things that nearly work, or that work if you've been careful about other things. We need things that (as close as possible) can't go wrong. This thing has a bit you'll lose and a load of ways to clip it up wrong. I just want the best for us, darling.
  17. Of course I would. You know I climb. Predominantly on SRT. In the same way, if you asked me to go from London to Newcastle I would get the train and not go by horse back. I try and use the most efficient method available. Why make things harder, none of us are getting any younger.
  18. When you did your tree climbing/ aerial rescue course were you not taught the importance of understanding the manufacturer's guidance? You could make something completely idiot proof. The universe would just create a better idiot.
  19. The swivel is a replaceable part - you really don’t like this do you? like hating your morning wood before it arrives- might be more than you think….
  20. This is the part number for the wrap handle kit 593202803, you get the handle plus some screws and an AV. Its not something that we stock and I cant see any in the UK selling it but ls engineers might be able to help you out. If you get stuck then send us an email as we can order it in for you, will prob be a week or two.
  21. I didn’t watch the video as I get my information from independent sources. I checked up on the court cases from Amsterdam and they tell a very different story.
  22. On mature reflection, this is the shittest bit. What happens when the swivel is lost and the device ends up in the hands of someone who doesn't know it needs a swivel? Which hole are they going to clip into instead? 1, 2 or 3? Will it work? Or worse, will it work for a bit? It's just so unnecessarily easy to use wrongly. Gear needs to be as idiot proof as possible. Even if it works SRT and DRT like it should, anyone buying for employees isn't going to risk it. More fuycking clutter in the world. Can somebody not just make something really good with nothing wrong with it.
  23. Hi just wondering if anyone know best reliable place to buy a full wrap handle for my husquvarna 585 in the UK. Any ideas ? Thanks
