  11. lots of bacteria AND fungus around to be/become a problem! if there wasn't any fungus around even leaves or dead trees wouldn't "rott"/decompose. Depends in what environment the willow w was grown, especially temperature!

  16. Yes I think this looks likely. Looking closely at it, it definitely seems like a growth from the tree rather than a cocoon or similar
  17. Mine uses a remote. If I lose it, it is relatively easy to replace and partner up.

  23. Perhaps a gall caused by a microorganism (bacterium, virus) rather than mite or insect. Some galls have unknown causes.
  24. And that level of service is why I keep getting a Forst chipper!
  25. It looks to me like vegetative growth produced by the tree itself in response to something, but its appearance isn't like any of the willow galls I've seen illustrated.
