I went through a spell of using "adieu". Now I just go with whatever pops into my head,
-
At the start I was AUDIO, then Steve set the MOIST challenge and I stayed with that for ages, then had a stint with READY. These days I'm completely random. Never thought that would happen, but I'm a random.

Perfectly put. It's a fine line between making an enemy of your local TA who may or may not understand that they work for the tax payer. I've met too many who beleive they can dictate what works are carried out in a CA without justifying a TPO.
-
Ah right, I always thought it was vowels at the start. Anyone want to list their starter words? Mine as above are usually peach or audio.
-
OK then, try RYTHM.

You don’t want vowels, you want consonants.

Presumably a more mellow taper on them being the thing there?

Its battery powered 😐
-
you just need to check shaft size and find wheels, I think ones on cheap sack borrow do the job.
-
I like those starters. Mine are usually peach or audio robbed from the first couple of pages of this thread.
-
i tell em "that price was for cutting it down, if you want it all taken way thats another 500 quid"
-
I’ve gone with RAISE for months. If I blank I try TOUGH. AUDIO is another good vowel starter, Mark J tip.

I'm a little disappointed as I tried a new starter word. Wordle 1,562 6/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟨🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 If the answer was teams I would have had it at line 1.
-
I think I would do the same, winch off to avoid leaving a crevice as you say.
-
Personally, in the absence of targets if leave it as is. Not a great business model, granted

Oak tree had a branch rip and hang in some wind a while ago. Tidied it up today. Choice was to cut at the red line and leave a hangnail on with a crevice down to the orange line or to do what I did and finish ripping it off to the green line essentially. My reasoning was that the crevice would harbour insects etc and the full, flat wound could heal better because it’s a simpler shape than the closed in crevice bit. Thoughts? Pros? Cons?

Just bought a second hand one of these. Its got the really small solid wheels which makes it difficult to move round except on concrete or tarmac. I think pneumatic wheels are available...can someone confirm? Also I'm thinking could it be mounted on one of those tracked wheelbarrows with a bit of ingenuity. Anybody done this ? If so info welcome Thanks

@doobin; a huge thank you for all your help and advise! I’ve sourced a new 2024 Sany SY18c at a seemingly very reasonable price, and Hywel is going to fit a grab/rotator for me, all being well we’ll be up and running in a week or two! Looking forward to less back ache🤘
