  2. Really great to see the arb community rallying behind Andy’s Man Club. Mental health often gets overlooked in physical trades, even though the pressure can be intense. Raising awareness and funds through something so community-driven makes a real difference. I hope more events like this pop up—it’s a reminder we’re stronger when we talk and support each other openly.
  3. Would it still attract the same attention if it was labelled as a veteran/vintage example not for commercial use?
  4. I did write a police report but then I thought I needed a strong positive mind and if it did grow back not have any negativity surrounding the tree. No you are right though. If you saw my previous post when it happened I was not that calm about it 👍👍 to say the least. Alls good. I sit next it and have a beer or 2.😁
  5. yeah right - where was he last week, when he could have been walking round gaza shooting footage of all the healthy people 'no famine here folks its all Hamas propaganda'
  6. Today
  7. truth is truth, it doesn't change whatever accent it's told in, and it would appear he found this truth by listening and reading.
  8. his accent says it all - can't quite put my finger on it, but this is 'semi-educated man' . Someone who has studied a bit, but now prefers talking to listening and reading He will probably find a way to show Hamas were reponsible for the shootings of Palestinians queuing for aid
  9. There was a lad on here Lake District with transport a few weeks ago, he never said if he was happy being rescue climber though:

    Eh!

I was told that birds like sparrowhawks eat the preys brain first as it is full of natural goodness so instant energy boost for them if a bigger enemy swings by.
  13. I'm looking for someone with Lolered climbing kit for few coming jobs. I will climb all the trees, just need someone with rescue capability and usual ground work. Work is in South Cumbria between Broughton in Furness and Kendal. Get in touch for more details. Cheers Peter
  14. So someone cut your tree without consulting you ? What did you do about it ? Criminal damage with trespass ? Glad its come back by the way .
  15. I dunno, I can’t be certain of the numbers, but a mate back in the UK tells me the money he gets for the waste wood can pay for the days diesel. Mind you he does have a tractor, wood trailer and grab to transport it.
  16. I need someone with Nptc certs for brushcutter and/or strimmer plus 1st aid. Own brushcutter would be handy but not essential. Few days end of August between Grange-over-Sands and Ulverston. There might be more chainsaw work afterwards. Get in touch about further details. Cheers Peter
  17. When he gets together with Paul Whitehouse You take notice .

Last time I was talking to a tree surgeon about biomass, he was storing it in his yard till he got a wagon or a tractor trailer full (big trailer) before he sent it for biomass. If they are out of their usual area a return to the yard and back can cost more that what they get for it, or if they don't have a suitable yard to store that quantity - he wasn't sure a biomass place would accept half a transit load at a time... so back to it being a waste product - to some - unless they spend the hours making firewood... where as the bigger money is working on the trees themselves - so in some cases the finances make sense to use a local tip site.
  19. It’s going to be a ballache to end all ballaches. When I imported the TW I needed an EORI number, an inspection from Defra or someone to ensure it didn’t have any diseases on it and something else to do with VAT. I got an expert to sort the importation for me. Don’t try and sneak it through, I got pulled out immediately and the paperwork scrutinised, they seemed surprised and disappointed that it was in order. As for the registration…good luck.
  20. Please ring/text or email before tipping as the site is actually in Blisland. any wood accepted no woodchips. Rings/ lengths. If local I can actually pick up myself with either Pickup or tractor and trailer.
  21. I bought this last year, I think its awesome.
  22. I believe the waste wood market is changing. Some firms are paying for rubbish wood as chippable biomass.
  23. Way before Xmas I think it was in October maybe. Someone decided to chop down my Maple tree. After being on the forum I took on board the great advice and didn't give up hope.I began to nuture the remaining tree and it worked. But it grew back. Nature is powerful. Just want to thank all the helpful advice 👍👍👍 Yours J
  24. Hello Matt , if you could email me at : [email protected] With the serial number of your chipper i can look it up in the Master Records. It should be three numbers followed by a letter. Jase.
