  1. Past hour
  2. well done. I'm sure you won't be disappointed
  3. Rushes

    Ladders

    I think it sounds uninsurable.
  4. As i have "custom" made hedge of mostly black locust, with lots of 6-12mm hedge- shrub branches. And black locust is harder wood. I imagine i will have better run at speed one or two. In terms of battery, i wish i had smaller one. 5Ah will be hard to drain.
  5. I dunno, if you’re doing thousands of cuts a day it’s not such a bad idea
  6. once you start accepting the feckin' alphabet people and "furries" as the same as everyone else with the same rights, it's hard to tell the terminal nutjobs from those just wanting a little attention. given the propensity worldwide to avoid questioning the sanity and eligibility of all the things normal people can use and be responsible with, you're on a downward spiral. in our own country literally hundreds of people are on various lists, being monitored for website activity, often for years, but nothing is done until they blow kids up at a concert, or school, or some other atrocity, and then it's all,,, lessons will be learned, and suggestions, lobbying, etc, and wasting time and taxpayers money on how to place more controls on those adhering to the laws in place without achieving anything to negate the original problems. walk down the road minding your own business with the wrong kind of dog and it gets seized and destroyed, say a few "hurty words" on the internet and you could wind up incarcerated, fly the wrong flag from your roof and see how quick 5/0 turn up. and people wonder why there is so much negativity in the world.
  7. I've never used anything other than full speed, the battery lasts ages.
  8. Looks like an unessasary faff. What if the battery runs out in the glove, or it gets knocked and stops working, would the cutter still work? We use chainsaws, we dont generally chop out fingers off with those. Concentration, respect the tool and turn it off when not actively cutting, very simple way to keep your fingers. Safety has gone too far. I cant send a bank payment to my father without 20 pages of anti scam questions, fraud warnings, several text message verifications and endless annoyance!
  9. WTF do you mean by that Bill ! 😁
  10. im looking for some woodchips and willing to except a few logs aswell

  11. It probably all happened in his bedroom, so no one was any the wiser. Radicalised online no doubt, maybe a 4chan user or a raging incel or some such toxic garbage. Freedom of speech is great sometimes!
  12. Today
  13. And yet, deemed mentally sound to buy 3 guns. Got to wonder how he got that way without someone taking an interest - mental health, family, law enforcement or whoever.
  14. Went ahead and bought Makita UH006GZ, since i already had batteries (5Ah) and charger. Applied for free battery. My other option which i passed was Stihl HSA 60 with battery and charger for less money than Makita solo tool. HSA 60 felt solidly made and has good balance as well. But i had to pick one. Makita hedge trimmer feels well balanced when holding it. Has 3 speeds. Runs smooth on empty. Probably will be using it on speed 1 or 2. Thanks everyone.
  15. Worse than that in this case I think. Sounds like the guy hated everyone but was "obsessed with the idea of killing children" in particular. So just vile excuse for a human being. A guy who identified as a woman - surprised that wasn't the one bit of the story to trigger an outraged post on here.
  16. Thank you Doug 👍

Driveway of house. Please if possible let me know before hand so can get a sheet down but if not then it’s no problem.
  18. I thought that the original post was odd, his replies certainly didn't seem to indicate that he wanted to be convinced. Anyway I hope that he'll return at some stage no matter what the outcome and we can clear it all up in a civil manner. I know I have not been civil, but I suspect that when people get agitated for whatever reason the natural order of things tend towards a downward spiral which doesn't help 🤔
  19. Sad really, nothing but hate in their heart.
  20. Lots of trends trending ATM
  21. some of the commercial ones for vineyards and orchards now have good safety cut out systems that stops the blades closing if the other hand is too close
  22. Gallup: % of Americans who are satisfied with the way things are going in U.S. right now 🔵 Democrats - 0% (lowest ever) 🔴 Republicans - 76% The 76-point partisan gap is the largest Gallup has measured on this question.

    Ladders

I ordered the ones shown before, 8 step extendable to 15 step A frame, should have been here Wednesday, however the shop was a day late sending, and the courier DX seem to be useless with no updates. I am greatly irritated as I'd lined up a small apple tree job so I could test them out. A friend was telling me there are ladder sports but when I looked it up on YT, it just appears to be hook ladders for speed climbing up buildings, no balance involved. I'm not sure how it would look but I have the idea of competetive extended A frame sport. On sloping, questionable ground. Two climbers with basic ladders and somone to foot each, extended to say 5 or 6 meters, and whoever can knock the other off, wins. What do you think?
  24. They look damned stupid on video, rounded battery so they cant be stood up on a surface. I'll be the same innards as all the others, note there are a couple of different sizes. I'd suggest getting a Fakita or one compatable with whatever battery platform you already have. Mine are "Mirthbuy" and are decent.
  25. Stubby

    Jokes???
