Chain oil on block drive

Friend of mine has just called me saying he has got some chain oil on his drive and how should he get it of. Having never spilt any on a drive and had to clear it off I didn't know what to say. Any ideas??

Hot water from kettle and fairy liquid , stiff broom . It will fade eventually .

Always just used washing powder or washing up liquid, always seems to work less successful on York or sandstone though I think

Lift out the contaminated blocks and replace or swap them out for some in a less conspicuous place

If you have any spare blocks drop some chain oil and try jizer for a couple of hrs then hose.

Soak the worst of it out with Fuller's earth if you can get it, dry sand if you can't (Fuller's earth works much better). Then dissolve up some biological washing powder in water, cover it to keep it damp and let it do its thing. What's left should wash off fairly easily.

I use GUNK drive clear, keep it in the van, does work.

A good stiff brush and hot water to clean right up after.

either try turning the blocks upside down or look on ebay for cheap blocks to replace with

Just pour neat fairy liquid on and leave it.

Don't scrub it.

It will all vanish next time it rains.

If you scrub it with a brush, you will clean the blocks too and they will stand out against all the other un-scrubbed ones.

If he owns a land rover just park that over it. Will soon disappear.....
