I do think that if you are climbing daily, gym visits will not make you climb any better.

I see what you mean, but if your like me and not climbing every day i need to keep my self in shape for when i do. Nothing wrong in doing a little more anyway i think.

pete..i coundt posiabaly put such a long setence in a poll:001_tongue::001_smile:

If you are wanting to go to the gym to build muscle mass but then climb all day the day after you may find that you have the opposite affect, muscle fatigue will set in very early on, Your body needs a good rest period for the muscle to develop and get stronger mate!

If your climbing most of the day, well to be honest grafting all day, wether in a tree or on the ground as long as you watch what you eat and drink, Your stamina level will rise accordingly!

One day a week in the gym is neither here nor there to be honest!!

I work all day, go to teh gym a few times a week, 3 or 4 times, normally when my lady is training with her running club. When i'm not doing that i'm either running, cycling, rock climbing, or doing a variety of board sports.

its not exercise, its all good fun
