Same I'd go old school nd get the 372, really love mine with a 20" or up a tree it'll still drag the 28" ok.

Used a 576 and it was smoother but just seems to be lacking something and balance is a bit off for snedding for my taste.

How about just upgrading to a 461?

 

 

Rather annoyingly for me (441 owner) this is the way to go.

 

The 441 (and 372) are great saws, but neither pull a 25" like the 460.

 

It's one of the best saws for power to weight I've ever used, and the only saw I've used to date that handles it's max bar length so well.

Have you tried the 576 on a 28"?

Surprisingly capable.
