  1. Hi All, I've been recommended this forum by a local timber centre, we are a theming company based in Cardiff, and I’m looking for some tree trunks for a jungle themed children's experience, they need to be 4m tall, approx 250mm trunk and ideally raw timber with the bark still on etc. The only species I’d like to avoid is silver birch but open to any other types of tree. Would anyone local be able to supply me 24 of these, and if not, would you have any suggestions of companies who can? I may have a supplier but I just want to have some options if they don't come through as ideally we need them the week of the 31st August and strangely trees are something we need a few times a year. Thanks in advance.

  6. Hi, I am looking for some Arb/Forestry work experience in West Wales over August. Available for work from 7th-25th August, I am happy to work on a voluntary basis for a short period. Level 3 diploma F&A, CS30, 31, 38, 39, basic tree inspection, B+E, stumpgrinder and chipper. Own PPE and saws. All I ask for in return for cheap/free labour is a short reference as I will be starting full-time Arb work in November. Please PM me or email [email protected] Thank you, Mark Wileman
  7. Coming towards the end of my college course, finishes June 20th and I am looking for at least a good 3 years solid employment in either Ceredigion, Glasgow, Newcastle/Northumberland (where I am from and currently based) or Bristol area. I have listed the various locations in the UK where I have good solid contacts and friends and would be happy to move to at the drop of a hat. By June/July I will have 6 months groundsman and climbing experience. I have 0020-03, 04 and 13 and will have chainsaw up a tree ticket as soon as I can get booked in, so well before June. I have a long background of traveling and working around the world (Australia, Norway, Japan, New Zealand) in mostly physical outdoor jobs. With a lot of experience in chainsaw use, I have trained in Tree Surgery to enable me to travel and work some more in Scandinavia and New Zealand, whilst in Norway the only unqualified job I could find was a salmon factory and I would rather be working in a profession I enjoy than packing fish! 26 years old, sensible, fit, strong and healthy non drinker/smoker, music hobbies and side business of music and record label. I won't last long working with people who like to talk about immigrant invasions or the so called threat of Islam, so need to have colleagues who have a source of information and conversation outside of murdochs news empire. I can provide CV and what I would expect to be stellar references on request. I have a place to stay in the areas listed too and would be willing to travel up for a week or two to do a paid trial. I do not know if this is a good way or the best way to find work, but you never know! I will also be contacting employers directly in said areas. Thank you Thank you for your time

  10. Hard working groundsman looking for as much work as possible in the south wales area, qualified up to cs38, over 2 years experience. Done a lot of site clearances as well as residential. have own groundsaw, climbing kit and ppe. available for just a day or long term.
  11. Hi All, Am after any arb waste or cord wood that is going in or around the Chester area. Obviously if its free then brilliant but am willing to pay the going rate. I'll need enough to keep our house going and that of an elderly neighbour (who I said I'd help this year, yeah more splitting!!). More than happy to take tonnes of the stuff. Have access to big transit van so can transport if easier. Have saw and axe waiting just need wood! Thanks very much everyone and if I've missed anything out feel free to mention it!!
  12. Climber/groundsman (or women) needed, we work within 1.5 hours of SY23. We do a mix of domestic arb work, council tree contracts and bt line clearance. We also do footpath and bridge building but that won't be your concern (unless you wanted it to be) Must have at least CS30,31, 38,39, a full driving licence and experience. NRSWA signing and lighting, CS40,41, certArb, an advantage. Drop me an email me if you're interested.
