  1. I do everything with a mk 2 550xp these days.
  2. No, I wouldn't fancy a few hours in the cells. Doesn't mean you need to panic though. Sometimes the police have a very difficult job to do; sometimes mistakes are made; it doesn't mean that there is some massive conspiracy to silence the media though. Stop panicking.
  3. Not everyone shits themselves every time they see the news. Try calmng down a bit. Not everything is a massive story that you need to worry your pretty little head about. You only posted a few hours ago, and then panic as soon as you realise that nobody else seems to have their knickers in a twist over it.
  4. If you are an employee, there is no reason for you to pay, unless you want to.
  5. A fridge is very energy efficient in the winter; it's cools the inside by warming the room.
  6. It's fairly easy to find yourself technically insolvent. A few big jobs that turn into late payers that happen to coincide with payday for the staff and a good business is suddenly insolvent. I had a very similar situation myself. One client did a runner, having conned a lot of people out of a lot of money, one other was slow to pay, a turbo died on one truck at exactly the same time as a fuel pump died on another. At the end of the month, wages needed to be paid, the garage needed paying, and I was very close to not having the money.
  7. Agreed. Still worth keeping an eye on though, imo.
  8. Cashflow (or lack of) kills businesses just as quickly as lack of profit.
  9. That could be the new title of the Covid thread.
  10. As above, you are going to need to put some money into the aesthetic design of those bars; those prototypes look a bit home made.
  11. Exactly the same for me. Aspen has saved me from selling a lot of machinery. I couldn't keep my full compliment of kit if it had to sit with pump fuel in it going stale. For example, I have a 357 xp, a 550xp, a 260 and a 261 in my collection. Those 4 basically do the same job, and just one could do everything I need of that collection. Aspen means I can keep them all.
  12. We all play to our strengths. I'd be next to useless on a battlefield. However, I'd be exceptionally useful sat at a desk somewhere safe, telling the highest bidder how best to control both the wolves and the sheep.
  13. Fair play to you; you are a better man than me. First sign of trouble and I'm on the first plane, boat, or whatever out of here. I may or may not be screaming like a girl whilst making the arrangements.
  14. I was only ever playing at it. I don't think suggesting the use of a glove is bad advice though.
  15. FYI, I hate wearing gloves whilst working, but always now wear a glove on my left hand whilst using a silky (with my right). I've got more scars on my hands and wrists from a silky than absolutely any other tool i've ever used.
  16. You seriously think that I read your post and presumed you were using those words for yourself? Decent and law abiding? Didn't I read that you were sacked from your job as a bin man or cleaner (sorry, I don't know exactly what you do) recently for smoking weed?
  17. Take a joke man, bloody hell.
  18. If terms and conditions applied they would have mentioned them in their first post. Might have to get me a few hundred litres of free Aspen. 😁
  19. What makes you think we want you as our spokesperson? To be honest, I think we can do better, a lot better. 😁
  20. That's quite bad isn't it. What a bunch of monkeys. Having said that, I can't really think of any other easy way of getting the fence back on the line.
  21. I've always found Aspen's presence on this forum to be a little lacking. I'd be very interested to know who posts on their behalf on here. The replies always seem a bit too 'corporate' to be genuine, but a bit too amateurish to be written by the marketing department. It's a pretty good demonstration of how not to use social media. It's a good product; I use it myself, However. I can't imagine anyone is going to be persuaded to give it a try based on the original post in this thread. I realise I'm probably not going to get a genuine reply to this query, but I'd love to chat to someone about it, and find out why they post in this style.
  22. To stop the heat getting into the room, obviously. 😁
  23. Is that in any way based on fact, or have you just made it up?
  24. That's always struck me as a bloody stupid thing to say anyway.
