    I only use chainsaws in my business ,and I would say you need at least 1 spare saw at any moment with you, and another one in the shed . I think 572 is very good saw ,just keep it no point to loose half the money.

    All depends only on your fitness,recommend you to go back welding, as you will never earn same money in tree work , you should try treework at weekends ,while you welding full time , always wanted to learn weld aluminium and stainless steel sadly not enough hours in the day.

    Stihl bar lose all paint on 2 chains ,did any seen that ? Ms 261 last time checked 468 hours on it 80% paint still present on original bar, 4 rims and 15 chains according to my notebook . Never seen chain stretch that much ,obviously something is very wrong,if it me I replace clutch drum and rim ,new bar and chain immediately ,also partially disassemble and check all tings right I think it’s clear as a day saying mildly.If oiler is not Woking correctly chain will overheat quickly and you will not be able to cut anything the clutch will slip or saw will bogg down you will see smoke from the drum clutch and so on there is more experienced people there on fixing the saws , but you said 15 years cutting you should feel any little changes in saw performance ,I easily predicting dirty filters ,worn spark plugs and crank seals ,worn chain bars just when I cutting stuff not even open it.

    Sometimes removal and planting appropriate tree is the best option and in long run cost much less with nice outcome,but people usually can’t think that long ahead.

    I want to say that I did jobs like that,but I always explain that tree will be destroyed and I recommend removal or just crown rising and dead wood removal usually after little argument and few photos from net ,clients agree with me . Few times I lost the jobs because of that but 🤷🏿‍♂️.In this particular case we talking about tree should not be touched at all in my opinion as you will get all this high back next year but shape and strength will be lost, so wasted money .
