  1. I am split between that or a new bandsaw mill saul. Room in the yard and petrol saw noise is a factor with neighbours close by.
  2. Good solid advise jay
  3. Stick to your budget and get the best value money can buy
  4. Only one realist for me and that is ed stafford and the guy has seen it and done it (Walked amazon) One other comes close is Mick Dundee 😁
  5. Guys has anyone used either of these with the F2-M7/8 logosol mills. Load of larch available in a couple of weeks and bit tight in my yard for storage and milling but the M7 fits nicely around my place and can be moved. Noise is a factor and i have 3 phase ES8 Electric Saw, 8 kW ES5 Electric Saw, 4.6 kW
  6. I use same bar and chain on 36" and ploughs through it
  7. Wadkin is on par then you look at wilson or Dominion next step down but still built like tanks
  8. Is that a 3/8 or 404 bar on that
  9. Some of the lads knock a cheap saw but for someone who does not have the budget to buy a high end stihl or husky they are a good second option.I have a good saw but would not think twice about getting another farnertec as a backup.
  10. Multico were french build stuff but always sort after
  11. Multico and sedgewick are 2 of the best machines around so your pretty sound there.I took a look earlier and some nice 3 phase available but stick with the single phase stuff if no 440 volt supply in your place
  12. 3 of us confirm the same so nothing wrong with chains. I use a grinder so maybe those who have problems hand file but myself like a hard steel toothed chain
  13. Get hold of yourself man 🙄 Like these fishing programs on tv when they land a 400 lb cod just not real
  14. People expecting a rolls rocye performance out of a skoda. Aint gonna happen but both will get you from A-B
  15. Expectation in general to all worldwide (GLOBALLY) who use rotatech chains if that clears up any confusion.
  16. They are a budget chain and cannot expect perfection. They are fine for certain jobs
  17. I have never found that to be honest. If they do just re adjust tension as only so much give in a chain.Must be tight on the oil (scottish are you) 🤣 All tight arses
  18. I like that phil (attacked it) 🤙 As for you first piece just reset the ladder and secure it this time and do a new cut
  19. Fair comment. Loads on the bay if you look and is it a heavy duty one your after
  20. A grand will buy you a chain mortiser which is ideal for making gates
  21. I bought one as a backup saw last year and run it on 25/1 mix for the first few tanks. Bit smoky but ran well enough for what i used.
  22. Pretty much the same machine phil just a newer version which will reflect in the price. Expect that newer one will make good money £500-600 ish depending if the imported stuff in coming in from china again. P/T were making silly money a while back second hand
  23. Nothing wrong with that and will do everything you want phil. Around £300-400 i should think
  24. Stubby was telling K about taking his first parachute jump.. 'When I got to the door I just couldn't jump, but the 6'7" black male instructor unzipped his fly and drops out a 15 incher and says 'If you don't jump you're gonna get this baby up your ******* arse." K says, 'Did you jump?' Stubby says, 'A bit, when it first went in. 🤣
