  1. Maybe steve should close this thread. Rob was good enough to refund you and you made your point.A hell of a lot on here use Rob D without any problems and i have found his service first class.
  2. How is your personal performance these days mick ? Still holding your own with the younger lads as your no spring chicken at 58
  3. Not really much point as he has mentioned he is using another setup alec which works for him. I get the fact we all like using different equipment and as long as the end result is achieved does it really matter. Perhaps some saws and mill setups are more suited to a heavy handed approach.
  4. Even the best made kit should be treated with respect. Does what it says on the tin so to speak and if the lo pro was not up to the job do you think others who mill everyday would not be finding fault with the equipment. Its a simple enough question
  5. Quite happy to correct someone if wrong. You joined the forum 3 weeks ago and just posted on this one thread and continue to argue the toss with people who have used this system for a long time without any issues. As stated do not buy a ferrari to do the job of a 4x4
  6. I read through this thread last night with amazement, I use GB bars and lo pro setup and have never experienced a problem and milled many a tree stump i can assure you. I think sometimes in life a man has got to know his limitations and i think you have found yours here. You use an alternative method which works for you so why keep wind bagging on about same thing.
  7. Your no spring chicken these days but i bet you could strut your stuff back in the day stubby 😏
  8. If a customer only wants 2 slabs then be daft to say sorry you have to buy the whole tree.
  9. I am a very fair minded man but piss take and telling porkies does not cut it. Time for ignore button
  10. If this was my forum i would ban you its that simple. Steve is such well respected and to polite to say so but there you go. You spout non stop garbage and its an embarrassment.
  11. Superb but your spouting total crap again. Such a silly billy and try not to offend unless its trigger or eggs and they earnt it.
  12. Big Dave sharpen your pencil me old son. Eggs and LUNCHBOX (trigger) are on his case big time. Even found myself liking triggers posts. Guy in question may do a decent job and come across as an arse. I would tell him to stick to his pension and window cleaning but i know nothing. Eggs fault anyway 🙄
  13. Man who sings the same tune i play. You bought a couple of top quality machines and looked after them which is what i do with all my stuff. Every year my workshop stuff gets fully serviced and i bet a couple only do 25 hrs a years work One of my best (pad sander) like photo below same machine as i have. Old school but bomb proof
  14. I have a wheel barrow tyre i filled with expanding foam 5 years ago and still going strong
  15. We all take you with a pinch of salt 🤣🤣 You anit no joiner musch and that is a FACT
  16. Not quite the same thing is it
  17. Amazes me the amount of people who post for staff and never put what area they are.
  18. Is that why you call him wonky then ? All over the place
  19. Some sort of contraption that would be.
  20. That is the difference a bandsaw mill can do over a chainsaw one saul. Got to be on your shopping list surely
  21. Treat your self to a new lunch box then 🤣
  22. 2/3 coats each end mark but its a lot easier to paint the end of the logs before they are milled. First thing you should be doing when they get delivered to be honest
  23. I am with steve not a fan of the gloss but that is the finish resin gives. Looks nice on modern stuff
  24. Should seal all your end grain as soon as you get your logs mark. I use SBR personally but pva 50/50 is just as good and stops the end grain from spilling and reduces shrinking
  25. Trouble is with this ash dieback there is so much being cut down.
