  5. Not a 100 yards from me a good mate breads and keeps welsh mountain ponies. Phil and his lad have won the royal welsh twice over the last few years which gives great credit as a breeder. One or the other pop in before going to work 6am and they call in evening time every day and its a huge commitment as you say.

  15. Down the beach sun bathing with all this nice weather i should think stubbsy 🤣
  16. Got to strip my 12x 8 sedgewick planer down in the next couple of weeks. The thicknesser rollers are not pulling the timber through and been putting it off since last year. They are spring loaded so as you feed the timber into the machine the rollers lift to grip the timber but its just stopped dragging the timber through so i have to manually push it then drag out the front end. It does leave marks on the surface so have to use the pad sander to finish off. New springs i should think but like rocking horse shite to get hold of the parts.
  17. If i was closer i would help no problem mark.Did you ever get the 24" thicknesser fixed as maybe could run the milled timber though that for now.
  18. The uk is a big place so try posting what area your in and what type of logs
  19. Surly a second trusted gang you could pull in as and when work gets busy and just put your cut on top.I help out a roofing mate and when they are snowed under he pulls in a couple of extra guys on a subbing basis.
  20. 30 is still young to start climbing if you have not had a beating and reasonably fit. I twisted my back putting an awkward ceiling up in a small cupboard age 21 and given me problems ever since. I have to visit my physio at least every 2 months to get straightened out or i am in a lot of bother
  21. What age to you guys keep climbing to. I am 50 and feel 30+ years of work on the body so could not imagine can be many in their 50/60s still working full time doing big take downs.
  22. How far apart do you put the posts on this fencing ? every 2/3 meters
  23. Had to come to to the wesh lads then mick. Not surprising really as most of us are top guns 👆 with the big guns 💪
  24. Needs cutting and milling when its freshly cut really stubby. Terrible stuff the resin on your chainsaw bars
  25. To old now for anything other than firewood.Be full of sap now and a nightmare to do anything with.Even as firewood it would need to be burned with some coal or on a very hot fire as gives off a lot of tar
