  1. I thought it would of found its new home in halifax, missed a bargain there he did!
  2. 🤣🤣🤣 bit to go yet mucker [emoji106]
  3. Or..... “not for tree use” like you get “not for road use” on the exhaust! Spent hours once rubbing out not for road use on the band of my akrapovic with a scotch pad and some autosol 🤠
  4. Fair play mucker, wasn’t really needed imo for you to go to this extreme but hey ho. Good reading [emoji106]
  5. No not had any dealings with em really sorry. Seems a bit strange if its the case though, not a good thing either if its right.
  6. [emoji102][emoji1412]‍♀️
  7. Yeah righthand side on your way from town to BRI, i’ve had a few bits, all chineseium stuff but i bought it to be abused and it did what i wanted! Biggest bargain was a plaster mixer i bought for £25, its done all my house plus others and its still going well. Hes had a lot of bad press but tbh hes always been ok with me and what i’ve had.
  8. Good ohh! [emoji106] worrying thing is if its had a short or a spike from somewhere? 🥴🥴 obviously dont want it too happen again! All wiring checks out but they are known for rubbing in harness apparently! Time will tell! Get that oil changed! [emoji16]
  9. Hes on ebay, name “machinereturns”
  10. Hows she behaving? Mate of mine broke down last week in his 2014 transit pickup, driving along and just petered out [emoji15][emoji848][emoji848] turns out its the ecu!!! £1600 for a new one! [emoji15]🥴🥴 sent the ecu away for refurb £600, only issue is what caused it!??? Had all wiring checked out and all appears good... he now has a big doubt in his mind when he drives it... will it happen again! Only done 51k and its pristine! Left him wondering whether he should keep it or knock it on! 🥴
  11. Local tool sales, from blackburn, as far as i know they have permanently shut. Wanted a few bits myself as have had stuff off him before for little money that did what i wanted subject to abuse 🤠
  12. In freezing conditions! [emoji16]
  13. Not sure in all honesty yolky, i’m not familiar with later ford stuff tbh, just my personal views on blanking off egr’s thats all. To get round doing it properly you’ll be looking at remapping too, that puts you in to the spending a few hundred quid bracket. If you change the oil regular enough and keep the internals clean then the engine breathes better and you dont get the carbon build ups which is inherently what causes the egr issues in the first place, it clogs the inlet manifolds too. Manufacturers service intervals these days are ludicrous imo, if its all motorway work then you have half a chance cos engines are revving, temps and pressures are up and exhaust gasses/carbons get blown through and stuff is kept clear/clean. Go the opposite way with it and your doing stop start work/short journeys, temps are medioka, pressures are up/down but not to a great degree, moisture/carbons start to build up. That turns your oil properties on the downward spiral, get dirty quicker, dont dissipate the moisture enough etc hence your noticeable sludge on the oil cap, and build up in your breathers, that effects the air/fuelling, mpg’s drop and so on. Not everyone has the same driving techniques/routines, so how manufacturers can say oil is fit for such long intervals when its being used in so many varying conditions is beyond me. And also a lot of people dont understand just how vital oil is regards cooling of your engine, they just assume your coolant does that. Dirtier the oil, the harder it has to work to achieve this.
  14. I’d still drop it regardless of them saying theyve done it 200 miles ago, (thats just cos i’m anal 🤠) my cars done 5.5k and is only 3.5yrs old, it got done each year regardless, oil still degrades even if it hasnt done any mileage, mostly due to absorbing moisture. Short journey stop start work low milage oil is just as harmful as excessive milage without oil changes imo. Little (cost) and often (oil & filter) as the saying goes in my book.
  15. Whats mileage now? Doesnt look like its had much abuse from walk round vid, possibly done more motorway miles than stop start short abused miles.
  16. Ground preparation, thickness laid, and correct mix, leave it a good while to harden up before jet washing or any kind of washing for that matter.
  17. I’d leave it alone, regular oil changes and i mean regular, like 6k - 8k max, keep those engine internals clean and let it breath. Oil and a filter is a cheap peace of mind scenario. Look after it and it will look after you.
