This Chris, (well put Bob) as i said earlier regards my cable i fit to my garage, mine is 6mm armoured and has 32amp consumer fitted, sparky did all my calcs for me from info i gave him regards welder and log splitter. I also had to up my plug socket breaker from a A16 to C20 amp due to the initial start up load from log splitter motor, just something else you might want to think of also thats all. Breakers were about £2.50 to buy from Oldfield.

There will more than likely be some raised numbers on your cable sheathing Chris which should denote your cable spec.

I agree with Mike here Lesbert, £1000 might sound expensive........ but you pay for what you get, look after it and it’ll look after you, and if its looking after you, then it becomes a cheap investment in the long run.

I bought a Jasic 200 synergic earlier this year, 5yr warranty, 240v supply but you sill need a good size supply cable though Chris. I put a 3 core 6mm armoured cable in my garage for this reason, and to run my log splitter.

I wanted some .404 semi chisel chains but struggled finding them in the uk, plenty from america but postage makes em expensive, found some on newsawchains website, came day after, might be worth a look for ya. Typical enter ya saw model, length, gauge drop down boxes scenario website, i’ve just done a husky mock up and they come up with sthil chains if they are right for ya in the gauge you say. 🤷♂️[emoji106]

Spongy is defo knackered! You bought your roofing sheets yet or still in the pipeline? I’ve just done my log store in tile effect steel coated, 30yr guarantee on them. They do insulated sheets too but i didnt bother as i wanted a lot of air flow obviously for logs so would be false economy, but in your case could be an advantage? No water droplets etc to worry about. Just a thought for ya.

Is it that far gone that you cant treat from underneath then reapply a fresh fiberglass/rubber vulc over the top?

NOPE! [emoji36] been too wet beforehand really, spuddog says its meant to drop below tonight so if it does and things start to harden up then a good chance, still got flakes coming down though [emoji106]
