  1. And i think they are pre painted flue sections anyhow not painted stainless.
  2. Thats a movement mark, the flue has come upwards, you could be leaking on that joint too.
  3. I fuelled one up! [emoji6]
  4. Alright kitchen-creme lovers, back on topic come on! I think otter may be on to something regards a painted stainless flue, the first joint up away from the stove looks scabby like it has paint loss? Do you know if it has been stainless painted or if they were black to start with?
  5. It’ll be fine [emoji106]
  6. You coupled to a flue liner or in to open chimney? How old is the house? Post a picture of your setup, someone may spot something.
  7. Said i liked your dog, no mention of its owner 🤠
  8. 881 is basically unused till adding the motomix, the others were 018, 180 for a guy who uses very infrequently, both had full rebuilds, new oem pots/pistons and carbs, i just put it down to the fact that they are on a non fully adjustable carb and simply just dont like the alkylate fuel 🤷‍♂️ and the other a 024 woodboss which is very tidy and have kept for myself, this is on a fully adjustable carb obviously, my next step was to do as you have and put the carb through the ultrasonic bath. Not high on my list of priorities at the mo so will do it when i get a bit further on through my never ending list of tasks 🤠
  9. Had a few smaller stihls wouldnt run on some motomix i have, put pump fuel in em and no probs [emoji848] filled the 881 up yesterday on same motomix and started and ran no issues, weird!
  10. Got this fella on my dads hedge yesterday, had me spotted through window straight off when i stood up out of chair, all his birds in his avery were going batty. I thought it was a sparrowhawk but dad said it could of been a young peregrine as there’s a breeding pair in the quarry at work which is very close by.
  11. Looks like simple freeze thaw weathering to me on the dpc joint, can’t see any vertical cracks in your pics which is what i’d expect to see with “movement” or “intrusion”

  20. Sharp chain, let it do the work [emoji106]
  21. That a rotatech chain then? If it works for you then thats good, i’ve only experienced the use of them in 12”, 14” and 16” form, they are alright but have found them aggressive at times straight off, they stretch a little but all new chains do, the thing for me was not being able to file everything evenly as some teeth were untouchable with the file, no doubt if you used a grinder then this issue would be irrelevant, but i havent bought a grinder (yet, still pondering, the granberg took my eye, and have access to one when needed, but still undecided) each and to their own as they say. Its not my day job like you guys so i’ve just stuck to stihl chains, cost isnt really an issue to me cos i’m using my saws pretty infrequently. Daily use costs would add up for you guys so fully appreciate where your coming from. The chips look good though [emoji6][emoji106]
  22. Ahh they will! I give most of mine to a lad with lots of chickens, he says theyre fine with it. Sometimes give some to a lad that has horses, he says theyre fine too. That aside, they look very similar to what i’ve produced today with my msa220 running sthil 3/8 .050 semi chisel chain. Whats your thoughts for asking?
  23. The chickens will love it! [emoji16][emoji213][emoji213][emoji213]
