  1. Yeah I just zoomed in and screenshot. No doubt in my mind. But I could be wrong... 🤣[emoji106]
  2. Bet those beams are heavy! Nice job[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  3. Often I see sapwood turn dark and heartwood light when exposed to air and light. Trees are weird. 🤷🏽‍♂️
  4. Had a stack of logs like that but with chocolate brown heart wood, thick layer of light sapwood. I’d have put money on it being oak until I found several SC leaves still attached. Seen so many variables in bark and grain over the years, especially when infected heartwood and sapwood maybe discoloured. Could be willow,poplar,oak,SC... 🤷🏽‍♂️
  5. Interesting... Another school day for me. 🤣[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. I agree about the bat hole. Walnut has a whiteish hue to mature bark though. I’ve seen sweet chestnut like that before. 🤷🏽‍♂️
  7. If you zoom in on picture 1 yiu can see medullary rays. Never seen them in willow. I’m going oak [emoji106]
  8. This thread is bullshit. Paranoid, fear mongering Bullshit. I’m sick of reading peoples ignorant prejudices about travellers and gypsies. I’ve had enough.@steve Bullman@john shutler Please sort this out.
  9. That is a right pain to fix [emoji22]
  10. I’m poor. One stipulation is 6 months without any DD’s bouncing. They don’t want to know about assets. 🤷🏽‍♂️
  11. All Brighton elms get thrown on a big pile in waterhall. Then burnt. Yeah breaks my heart to see 20’x4’ burrs of elm on an artic going off to be dumped. I tried bribing the driver, didn’t work. [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]
  12. I got refused a business bank account.
  13. I believe Nepia is right, it’s a cherry plum. Had one on my allotment. Beautiful blossom and tasty fruit. [emoji106]
  14. What price do they change hands for? [emoji106]
  15. Check your depth gauges height. [emoji106]
  16. Having lived in Brighton I can testify the seeds drop in such abundance they form little drifts. And they will grow like weeds! Anywhere! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  17. That would add more strain on top of the strain of milling. This will in turn damage the clutch and crankshaft etc. Keeping the chain teeth and depth gauges all identical is essential for milling. [emoji106]
  18. In your position, I would reccomend a decent bench grinder. Not cheap at all but worth it. Stihl HOS if you can find one, or the stihl USG. Plastic bench grinders are useless. As your teeth get filed the height of the cutting edge drops. The depth gauges must be lower than the cutters. (0.8mm for the .404 with 880) Yiu can buy a stihl .404 depth gauge checker for a few quid. (Essential). [emoji106]
  19. That was 6 months ago. Had something lined up but turns out landlord is a joker. Everything round here is getting built on too.
  20. Not yet mate. Probably put an advert up on here soon. [emoji106]
