  1. Got some Wych elm to mill for the next few days..
  2. In France you can get a license to hunt with a bow. When I was young a mate used to go bow hunting. Tiny Breton about 5’1”. His compound bow had a 45kg draw… ****ing mental bit of kit. Absolutely vein popping to get it to pull back. He wouldn’t let me fire an arrow though as he said we’d never see it again… 🤣[emoji106]
  3. In order of preference; 1. Pre 2007 Stihl ms440 (By the time you’ve had it rebuilt it’ll be cheaper and more powerful than most others…) 2. Stihl 461 it’s a tank. 3. Stihl 500i rather tasty 4. Stihl 462 nippy [emoji106]
  4. Apparently it blows apart/pushes holes through, very tiny ones which let the fines through. I just tap the filter against a bit of wood, then gently scratch the filter to flick the fines out.[emoji106]
  5. It’s going quick… Mainly oak, some yew,ash,beech,sycamore,walnut,elm etc[emoji106]
  6. No, that’s why I’m selling all the wood. I’m looking for a woodland or forest further south to set up in. [emoji106]
  7. But it doesn’t let fines through. It clogs up because it’s working. How would a filter not block if it was working? [emoji106]
  8. Air lining is a bad idea, it will blow holes through your filter.
  9. You’ve got 6 weeks until the shop is closed. [emoji106]
  10. Regular wood worker I sell to,and I have regular pricing debates. He’s wondering why his elm, burr oak etc clocks aren’t selling for £30 each. I told him at that price, people think it’s fake! He took all his stock off internet, Tripled his prices!!!! Clocks are selling really well now! Couldn’t make this shit up! 🤣🤣🤣[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. Well you’re welcome to dig through it. (Bring a strong mate)[emoji106]
  12. I’ve got loads of it for sale. Most 8’ some longer.[emoji106]
  13. I’ve got a 10lb recurve bow for my 11year old daughter, bit under powered she says. [emoji106]
  14. Have you thought about alkylate petrol? Aspen, motomix or there’s a husqy brand. Very low emissions compared with standard petrol. [emoji106]
  15. Biggest bass strings I’ll ever play[emoji106]
  16. I worked in a concrete slab factory when I was younger. We used 6mm high tensile steel wires 124m long. Normally 130 wires at a time. On a 2.5m x 125m bed. The wires were plugged into a giant ram, (300+tons) Which stretched the wires the extra meter. The slabs of concrete were usually 50-60mm thick. You could stand in the middle of one wire, 15-20mm off the bed, and it wouldn’t touch the bed. The dangerous part was once the wires had been tightened and before the steel segments were put down. And they did pop. When they do, the most dangerous place to be is at either end. I only saw one snap. I watched as my mate stood in horror at one end, as a tornado of spinning wire flew at him with incredible speed. It span round him and dropped to the floor like a giant slinky. Not a mark on him. The following week we had to weld buckles every 5m or so to pull heavy cargo straps across.
  17. Get the 36” bar and mill,if you can. That way you can mill small and medium wood. Check your ladder has no bumps or rivets, and is vaguely true. [emoji106]
  18. That’s why I asked if he’d read it… Hd2 filters will work even when completely caked in dust. There are tests on YouTube where guys half bury different saws in sawdust, and wait to see which fail first. [emoji106]
  19. I’ve no idea if this product is any good, but for milling the hd2 filter works. It stops all dust. That’s why it blocks. [emoji106]
