  1. Im done with you now.
  2. Voluntarily taking regular cognitive tests to prove to the smooth brains he is not loosing his marbles. If he refused to have regular cognitive tests you smooth brains would ask what is he trying to hide. Acknowledging that at his age there is an increasing risk of "losing his marbles" should be lauded as responsible yet somehow those so blinded by hate manage to twist it to suit their own pathetic agenda. Jog on Shoe size.
  3. Im genuinely flabbergasted by how you can turn a positive into a negative. I have to take a blood test pre and post off-shore trip due to coming in potential contact with toxic materials. How many other 46 years old have to have this many blood tests a year? Not many I recon and with good reason, its not needed not relevant. What relevance would the number of cognitive tests for regular 80 years have in comparison to the Commander in Chief of the most powerful military force this world has ever seen? I genuinely wish you could see how pathetic you come across to anyone with an IQ above your shoe size.
  4. Im in the market for a Lucas or a Peterson. Ive messaged about this Lucas but if you have the details regarding the Peterson Id appreciate it.
  5. I had over 50kg of Cherries this year. A mix of sweet and sour cherries. The Sweet Cherry Wine is lovely but the Sour Cherry is really nice, almost Port like taste and colour. I also do Red Wine Kits, I prefer the Wine expert Private Reserve Kit. A bit pricey at £120-£150 for 30 bottles but the quality is amazing. The £50 kits are great as well and aging them in Oak Barrels really improves the taste, if oaked wine is your thing. I'll also have a kit of Porter on the go most months. I used to be heavily into all grain brewing and all the science that goes into that but its too much faff to have a brew day and all the cleaning that goes along with that. I "used" to distill as well. Around 95% with my full reflux still. If I "was" doing Rum then its the continuous still as it retains the flavour of the mash.
  6. That will keep you going for a couple of weeks in the coming winters.
  7. I hear its not an easy thing to deal with. Stay strong Les.
  8. Technically yes, a business purchase. But will be coming out if my own pocket so more of a hobby purchase.
  9. Not sure what that means? I thought they’d be super critical about what comes in as they want their 20%? Ive got my Norwegian Residency card. I wonder if that would help at all?
  10. All good Les. thanks
  11. I’m sure the mill will be under 7m. It’s a 4.8m cut and then room for the mill to park plus the hitch itself. If have to get it measured of course.
  12. Hmmmm, seems more complicated that just rocking up and pretending it was mine all along. 😂
  13. Im considering buying a used Sawmill thats on a trailer package from Europe. As I understand it I'd be liable for 20% vat on the purchase price and have to show its origin of manufacture. How easy/difficult is it navigating to and on/off of the LeShuttle with a 7m plus trailer? How likely am I to be "caught" by customs with a used machine and told to cough up? Any advice?
  14. Of course! With the price of hardwood logs my way just for firewood being a minimum of £120 a ton and sawlogs well over £150 a ton being the primary factor. We have a large firewood producer local to me who produces about 300m3 of hardwood logs a week and kiln dried them in a few days. Plus he gets a chipper in to do the rest, I think the chipper takes 800mm diameter, its a beast. On a personal level my Mill can only handle logs at 750mm diameter and thats if its poker straight. Poker straight being a premium. Id also have to hire the Estates Avant for the days I'm milling the logs plus all my other associated coats. Id have to buy in 10t of Beech at a minimum. Even if the delivery was free thats £1500 up front cost just for the logs, then all the other costs and my time on top. Thats why I made that comment. By the way, that set of Oak Bowls you made me are still going strong.
  15. I could mill these for you. But I'd have to know if its worth bothering firing up the mill for them or not. I recon I'll be the most expensive bid at £50 a cubic foot.
  16. Could be a place to visit one day.
  17. I get the use of the 760 regularly and have had the use of at least three other models over the last 5 years. Zero issues so far. I love them.
  18. Very cool. Is he catering to locals or tourists? Have you been out?
  19. Did you count the rings or something?
  20. There is one I use on the Estate I keep my Mill at. I use it to process scabs/backs. They are great machines and take years of neglect and abuse.
  21. Wow, the Guardian sure got back to you quickly.
  22. As they say in Crypto. HODL.
  23. I really need to learn more about investing. I have no clue. Funnily enough Ive just started a SIPP as Im not giving HMRC a damn penny of my income. Anything that HMRC wants off of me at the end of the tax year will go into my SIPP and I'll owe HMRC zilch. But the best thing is I'll get the Government to pay me 20% of what I put in there. I was banging in 10% of my salary in 2019-2021 into my companies stock. I get it at the cheapest price point over the 6 month period meaning in 2020 I got 6 months of stock for under $5 a share. By May 2022 they had increased tenfold to $41.00. The company stock scheme is not so good now. Its over 3 months now and not 6. I'm better off investing in my SIPP, getting my free government 20% then investing that way once Ive figured it out. The greed of the Labour and SNP has gone from me "contributing" to HMRC as it was easy and laziness on my part to just pay when my self assessment was due to actively finding a legal way to contribute nothing and get a chunk of someone elses tax to boot. Ask @Johnsond and he'll tell you a similar story in his field. Many are dropping out of paying the high rate of tax one way or another. Another own goal from the Commie Pinko's.
  24. So with the markets rebounding you've actually made more than you've lost on your investments?
  25. You'll have to wait til they've written into the Guardian and asked how they should respond to such a question. Check back in a week or two to see what witless retort they're instructed to go with.
