  1. Haven't really got a budget just want a good deal like I said don't mind buying used. Also need to buy a mill too ideally the panther mill. I'm got a bandsaw which can mill up to 23.5" or 600mm so just need a chainsaw mill for any larger logs or to brake any down ready for the band mill etc. This is just a hobby not a business.
  2. He said 1399 for the saw and $175 for shipping so $1574 usd to uk is £1208 plus inport tax which if iv worked it out right is a total price of £1514 all in which is obviously too expensive.
  3. Yeah I think so don't get we wrong iv got nothing against the stihl it's just iv always used husquvarna iv got and worked on a few k760 stone saws and have the 560xp and love it, I'm familiar with how they are built, I look at a stihl and think that's a straight way make it lol. I'm happy to buy used as long as the price is right it won't be getting that much use anyway. Iv mailed the guy on eBay selling them from Canada I'll let you know what he says.
  4. Rang the number on yoursaw website awered the phone as Dixon garden machinery. Long story short they don't have the 3120xp and carnt get it they have asked for it to be took off the website and don't know why its still on there.
  5. Yeah and if you Google the phone number on yousaw website it's the same as hexham power equipment. Little bit strange.
  6. This site says in stock I'll give them a call tomorrow all there saws are 25% off for some reason.
  7. Yeah didn't even think you could buy the 3120xp any more.
  8. As above seem to have many cheap chainsaws on there at minute I'm after the 3120xp been seeing them sell from £900 to £1100 used lately if there genuinely £1143 new I'd happy get one. Am I missing something?
  9. Looks spot on and well made. Why did you go hydrolic instead of using the winch to power the arch like Matt cremona dose on YouTube.
  10. That trailer looks interesting has it got a log arch?
  11. I'm sure they will be the demand just depends on total costs etc. An yeah Iv been watching the one on eBay it's a bit older and at 970 already and not local. What year is it do u know?
  12. Yeah been a few not many missed out on one today. Sounds like you got a good deal.
  13. Fair enough I'm just on the lookout no worries.. What did u pay if u don't mind? What year is it?
  14. Hi anyone not using there milling setup much any more and thinking of selling? Saw preferred is the husquvarna 3120xp saw alone or with bar and mill anything considered, but in no rush. Many thanks Wayne.

    Elm?

Deffo save and mill it's lovely unique timber.
  16. Where abouts are you? I bought 2 english elms (ulmus procera) but they also had ulmus minor and ulmus glabra I think don't know if they will have any left now I'll try and find the garden center for you. What type of elm have you got?
  17. It's been said befor but all concrete is water proof here is a pic where there is wet crap under the concrete but concrete remains dry. Iv worked on a new build house with a basement which the walls were 300mm thick waterproof concrete I don't know how much extra it was for the waterproof addictive that was used but I know it were expensive.
  18. Could also be thankyou. I should take some more pictures of it in a couple of months.
  19. I think you might be right with zelkova I'd never heard or seen it befor iv just been googling it and found this that's looks the same. https://globaltrees.org/threatened-trees/trees/zelkova-sicula/
  20. Where abouts are you please? Why not sell the or give them away let someone else mill them and cart them out etc less hassle for you then.
  21. I put weight on top of my wood load of concrete blocks bricks etc and also you could stack some more wood on top of them for more weight can be any dry wood too. Looking at the pic I can see the straps not stopping the middle of the top board cupping up if it wanted too but it might not some wood types don't move much but some do.
  22. Thankyou and the mill opens up to do a max cut of 27 1/2" or 700mm if needed so not too bad but my chainsaw bar is only 24" anyway. But I never use the chainsaw mill as iv made a bandsaw mill which can cut 23 1/2" wide which is enough for logs I can kind of handle at the minute, plan for the future is to have a big decided chainsaw mill setup to brake down big logs befor bandsaw milling them into boards etc. No time for nothing at minute tho house renovation.....
