  6. It's coming along always like to see homemade mills as they all differ so much but all do the same job. What motor you having?

  8. Thankyou.. and haven't had a blade brake yet I don't put a lot of tension on as there is no need but I alway stay behind the saw and the blade is surrounded by metal apart from the front that I stay away from but the perspex is super strong also.
  9. Thanks my plan for the future is to make a track for it then I have best of both worlds. The tracking is the grub screws which once set dosnt need touching and the tension is the Allen key bolt.

  12. I eventually milled the two elm logs last nite there amazing inside definitely worth the trip and hassle it's had to tell off a crapy pic from the owners back garden. Sorry you carnt see the pics befor as there was uploaded with photobucket.

Lol well I tied the log to my car then slowly drove the van farward propping it as it came out then use trolly jack to lift and lower it to the floor then a pallet truck to move it from there. 3rd pic is two more decent lumps and 4th pic is a oak porch some of this wood is eventually going to turn into.
  16. That were the pic befor it got put in the van so I could shut the doors and strapped it down to stop it rolling.
  17. Good fun isn't it I did simular couple of weekends ago with a big oak tree truck took me 4 trips to get it home I only got a van tho a jcb loaded them in the van and was good fun getting them back out lol.

  19. I don't know wych elm it is lol. Ill be milling the main trunk in a couple of months so will pit some pics up the rest is for firewood (smaller stuff or ugly stuff).

  22. Sorry should of said iv used a old thred it's the two pictures on page one not the eBay link. Thankyou for the replys first thing I fort was elm or walnut with the center being so dark I can have it for free just don't know if it's worth the 33 mile trip suppose I should find out the sizes of it.
