No your not Mark it’s only ever an opportunity to Tory bash with you, the UK shipbuilding and seafarers have been failed by every government for years, what you mean is you don’t mind if it’s labour shafting people but do if it’s Tory. . Id give it a whirl Les no probs, as long as client is aware of what might be in the beams. End of day a lot of the Elm or Beech I see is often not shy of the odd nail or bit of wire. I was watching a program the other day about the teams doing the ongoing maintenance on I think, Canterbury cathedral and the lengths they went to in retaining original timbers was incredible. The stonemasons in particular were something else.

Good luck With the right eqpt and prep it can be done. Do some thorough checks with the detector etc and ask about stellite tipped blades, they can take a nail or two and whilst you will definitely blunt them you can often finish a cut.

Hi John Where you based !!. Might be worth getting a look or even a try on some of the members bits of kit before making a decision. I used to have a Woodlands 130 and have nothing but good to say about them for the money they cost. I know Trigger Andy has the logosol bandsaw and can confirm having seen it cut that it’s a cracking machine. No experience of the Norwood but I know one guy whom runs a heavily modified 36 in Inverness, he’s put roller guides on rather than the ceramic blocks and a pile of other mods to get it to perform.

If I won the lottery tomorrow the first thing I’d do is hire the meanest most arrogant twat barrister I could find and drag both the directors straight to court. Not for the money but to hear them at least admit what it was done for and that they knew it was wrong.

I didn’t bend the rules mark the agency and company did to avoid employers NI as we found out later, and to be honest the initial having to set up as ltd was more hassle than it was worth. I’m not sore at paying any tax I’m poised off that those whom put us in this situation walked away Scot free. I can easily send you Hmrc letters acknowledging we were not at fault but unfortunately the tax liability still lies with us. Same regards the e mail telling us we had to go ltd. I’ve got it all Mark after 3 years of fighting my corner. Bear in mind out of the 48 ive watched lads go to pieces Mark marriages fail and sadly in one case a good guy having his house repossessed. No high horse here Mark.
