  1. Well good luck with it all 👍, some hefty waiting lists for kit at moment too.
  2. Which mill you going for Les ?.
  3. Aren’t we all 🤔 Joking aside I’d have thought right now post the recent weather we’ve experienced would be a good time to source stuff. Thousands of trees down in Aberdeenshire, not sure how bad it got down your way. Trigger Andy might spot this and he is pretty sharp at sniffing out Oak.
  4. Cash is king its as simple as that.
  5. I looked at the 3 phase option from Trakmet and tried to justify it or come up with a solution to transporting a generator around with the mill. I guess a lot depends on wether or not the mill is gonna be static or mobile and what vehicles you already have etc. Cost of fuel is brutal right now and the whole red diesel saga is never far away. The price for the generator is good mind as long as it’s a decent make and not huge hrs.
  6. Star Hobson trial: woman guilty of murdering girlfriend’s toddler APPLE.NEWS A woman has been convicted of murdering her girlfriend’s 16-month-old toddler after abusing her for months, despite five... Sadly an all too often occurrence.
  7. Been there done that 🤷‍♂️
  8. Thompson timber in Dunfermline used to do courses Andy
  9. Pro Hunt ?? I hope that does not refer to my post ??. I stated right at the beginning that I was indifferent to hunting but to be honest it’s that emotive a subject the fence is the safest place to be.
  10. Like a lot of the anti hunting policies unfortunately. I guess they would rather see the wholesale indiscriminate destruction of a particular animal than stomach what they see as toffs having a day out. I’m indifferent to fox hunting but as has been said before on this topic it is not all gentry out there, my sister rode regularly with hunts in Northumberland and is firmly working class but also an outstanding horsewomen, her take on it was they hardly saw a fox 9 times out of ten. Fast forward to the situation we have now with affordable night vision and thermal imaging systems and ever more efficient flat shooting rounds and foxes are being culled in record numbers. Darkness no longer offers any cover unfortunately. I’ve been out myself with NV on a moderated 223 and to be honest it’s no longer a challenge or about fieldcraft etc. Ok a job has to be done sometimes but the reality is for many it’s about hi tech ego boosted high number hauls on a nightly basis. 🤷‍♂️A very emotive subject for sure.
  11. Well the cat came back with yet another fresh kill mouse last night, not sure how that stacks up !!. Mind you she does tend to eat what she kills 🤷‍♂️
  12. J I’ve pretty much came to that conclusion now, no more of these petty destructive restrictions, life’s too short to have some jobsworth politician and ego inflated scientists literally having us dance to this bullshit tune. It’s all just way way too convenient quite frankly , the public has basically had enough of this, cop 26 etc is over so let’s just refocus on covid 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️Hey presto the worst ever variant with 2 whole cases so far and that’s enough to reintroduce restrictions. They genuinely must think the masses will swallow any old shit.
  13. Howling Gale now. Trees down on many roads and structural damage. Power has been off since 1600. Running off the generator now Thankfully log burner is doing its thing and hobs run on propane 👍.
  14. Blowing hard up here in Aberdeenshire, sleet and snow, upgraded to a red warning from met office. Basically a do nothing day.
  15. Slightly Illegal 👍😂belter Thanks for the info 👍
  16. Slightly off topic, That's a cracking log arch 👍what make and model is that?. You towing it on the road ??.
  17. BBC drop Michael Vaughan as pundit for Ashes series amid racism allegation APPLE.NEWS Michael Vaughan has been removed from the BBC’s Test Match Special coverage of the Ashes this winter after allegations that... Not like the BBC when it comes to racial issues or allegations !! , guilty until proven innocent it seems, shame the same rationale had not been applied over the years with the amount of sex offenders they turned a blind eye too.
  18. Not mine but might be a good buy for somebody.
  19. Might have to bash one out tonight watching deep water horizon eh. jokes aside you seen Chris Lemons incident on Last Breath ??
  20. Not all the time but there is no shortage of intellect out there. The things to remember is decisions are made by teams and follow a pattern etc ie hiras or hazops to try and think out any possible **************** ups rather just running with what seems like a good idea.
  21. Going out of procedures tends to be taboo with people as you know bud. Lack of intellect 🤮maybe people should understand one wrong move based upon a flawed idea or suggestion can be disastrous, the level of safety out there is something people don’t get unless you’re involved.
