  1. I worked on the new forth crossing doing some of the subsea stuff for the main legs, Chinese steel throughout and upon UK spec NDT standards being implemented post installation a resultant pile of defects that necessitated the gouging out and rewelding of numerous defective joints. Shit government Shit management and zero vision for the future apart from next years balance sheet, share price and dividend ?
  2. Simple solution if it’s going into British waters it’s built here or at the very minimum a majority portion of it. the resultant jobs and boost to communities would be huge. My views on electricity provision have always been that it should be state owned/controlled along with all other utilities etc that are essential to the everyday well being of the population. Nationalism should not be a dirty word.
  3. This is the sort of thing I spoke of, Companies from all over the world getting in on this free for all that we will pay for.
  4. Small world K I was working over there around that time on the ponds that later became the foundations for the Sony building at potzdammer platz. Many of the evenings and subsequent mornings were a total blur.
  5. Berlin K, the former eastern side has some pretty cool U Bahn stations if you like that sort of thing.
  6. What is a joke is the amount of money being made off the back of UK consumers the PRC. People need to open their eyes to the bordering on criminal level of pure exploitation around our coast regarding wind energy and the profit and jobs this generates for overseas countries and companies, China being a huge beneficiary.
  7. Check this one Mark it’s brilliant.
  8. Lol I told you my sides are aching it’s absolutely hilarious best joke I’ve heard for ages and ages and ages and ages ?therefore I must decline the offer to accept this is above my head ? Honest mark there is nothing like relentless citizen smith style left wing political drivel masquerading as a joke to make my night ?? You got any more material other than Boris and Donald ??.
  9. Omg another trump joke My sides are aching with all this new material ?
  10. Totally agree J but the sheeple will follow the instructions to the end I’m afraid. There are some good videos of the South Dakota way of approaching this, very much in the Swedish model. Not at all like the lunacy currently being promoted by Nicola and as is looking very likely by Boris too. I can not see how people think trying the same action again will work this time when it catastrophically failed the first ?‍♂️
  11. Written as though nothing matters except the so called pandemic. The price of a pandemic ??‍♂️My god open your eyes ?
  12. ?good bit of information, think cranky has pulled the rug out from under you on this occasion Mull ?‍♂️.
  13. Try again in the morning after a good nights sleep ?
  14. Read it a third time it will sink in ??
  15. To be honest if I thought she and her colleagues brought much to the table and actually expressed a bit of positivity and ambition etc rather than heaps of negativity I might feel different but myself like most non diehard snp independence types see none of that. Not sure if that constitutes a hate campaign mind,
  16. You ask a question I gave an answer. Read back right from the beginning of all this the tone of my posts has not changed one bit. I still think exactly the same now as I did then. Hindsight has nothing to do with it, more I looked at alternative sources of info rather than MSM hysteria and the daily SNP broadcast. Truth is as Big J stated we are in a shit situation even after towing the party line for 7 months. Tell me I’m wrong when I state the restrictions have been longer lasting and tighter in Scotland?? Even when we had zero deaths and virtually zero infections for weeks on end. I don’t need to be told to get a handle on it, I think you may need to look further afield than the Scottish government for a solution to this. Difficult to accept I know but hey ho ?
  17. Pathetic We both live in Scotland therefore the SNP leader and the policies she promotes Is what we have seen on TV every day for 7 months telling us what to do, when to do it, what not to do, where to go with how many people at what time of day etc etc. ?‍♂️?‍♂️To quote you!! Who would you want me to refer too ??? The cop out is very useful seeing that your original post was shredded pretty quickly. To suggest she has not at times tried to use this to advance her political system is naive in the extreme.
  18. For starters the restrictions placed on travel during lockdown and my inability to travel to Northumberland to see my mother. Currently the inability for me to have all my kids and their families in my house together !! Is that enough for you !!. With a more rational approach yes the NHS would have coped, depending on what statistics you chose to read you will see at no point was it overwhelmed. We now have the insanely expensive totally under-utilised emergency hospital facilities located throughout the UK.
  19. Quite sure that is not what he said. To put it another way, Scotland has had the most stringent longest lasting and slowest to be relaxed restrictions throughout the UK. Often when in reality the statistics did not in any way justify it. The political game Sturgeon played in a effort to get one over Westminster looks to have been a futile one.
  20. I will reply but I’d happily say Big J has put it far more eloquently than I can but here goes anyway. We are supposed to live in a democracy. I’m happy to look after myself and my family using common sense and judgment. If you on the other hand would rather a room full of Politicians and unaccountable individuals dictate how what and where etc you should do this that or the other then crack on. Let’s face it the whole Lockdown bullshit has achieved very little other than destroy the economy, put a pile of people out of work and reduce massively people civil liberties and freedoms.
  21. ?‍♂️ Good that he's over it Mark eh. Pretty much spot on what he said ie don’t live in fear ?
  22. It’s not though Is it !!!!
  23. Couldn’t post the link but I think the penny is finally dropping after over 7 months of trying to beat Mother Nature that maybe it ain’t gonna happen. Currently sat here watching Sturgeon giving the latest set of restrictions and rules that have been devised behind closed doors and imposed without question. Reality is the arrogance of politicians to think they can defeat a virus with decrees and rules is staggering, I do get the feeling Mother Nature is gonna win this hands down as it has done in every other occasion, how many viruses have we actually eradicated over the years ??? ?‍♂️. This vaccine which will be a money spinner of unparalleled proportions looks to be a total rush job with a zero comeback deal on the table. We have been brought up to expect longer and longer life expectancy and a firm belief that modern medicine can fix just about anything. Ie a pill for this and a pill for that, this misguided belief sustains a multi billion pound/dollar industry worldwide.
