  1. Cash for honours: Labour hid millions from auditors WWW.GOOGLE.CO.UK Exclusive: Scotland Yard investigates failure to disclose £12m of loans as pressure mounts on Tony Blair Different name and party, same type of total twat. Nothing changes in reality.
  2. Utter rubbish, in particular the collective responsibility tripe.
  3. Small beer !!!!, you any idea of the total number of military and civilian deaths that occurred during conflicts or subsequent chaos thst those two are responsible for??. my point is more about the utter hypocrisy of the MSM and politicians etc than whom is the bigger C**T out of them all. You will have the argument to yourself bud on this one I can’t be arsed to go down the well worn forum bickering route on this occasion. I’ll not bother putting up the figures for Afghanistan. Casualties of the Iraq War - Wikipedia EN.M.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  4. Whilst I totally disagree with Putins actions it’s incredible to see the clamour for war crimes investigations even at this stage when we have Bush and Blair still making regular statements on world affairs, both undoubtedly as guilty as Putin ever will be. The media is doing its normal thing and totally pumping the line as it sees fit as it did so effectively throughout the covid farce. I’m in contact with a few of the officers on the vessel I work on regularly, 4 of them are Ukrainian 2 pro Ukraine and 2 pro Russia. The onboard vibe was bad after the Crimea annexation and was only sorted when the vessel master (Canadian) got the whole crew together and gave a strong warning to all regards behaviour whilst onboard. Speaking to both sets of guys yesterday via watts app it’s incredible to see and hear two totally different views on the cause of the current situation, but the thing they are all agreed on is that the conflict is totally unnecessary. As is often the case take bloody politicians out of the equation and things would work out a lot better.
  5. Christ almighty still making the anti vacs comments, watching the media whip up the hysteria about Putin is not dissimilar to the way they so easily did it with Covid. Yeah you are 100% correct It works wonderfully on those stupid enough not to question a single thing.
  6. Ukraine using British NLAW anti-tank missiles to destroy Russian armour APPLE.NEWS A batch of 2000 of the missile systems, developed by the UK and Sweden and dispatched to defend Ukraine, are helping...
  7. Lo no it was a throw back from the early days of the North Sea ops Put in place to stop foreign guys “ mainly American “ jetting in and out and paying nothing in the way of tax.
  8. The one thing the past 3 years has made me is far more tax savvy than I otherwise would ever have been. The reality of the situation is that I’d imagine the recovery figures the Hmrc had for the 48 guys involved with the agency I’m concerned with post and pre and investigation will be hugely different. The days of us all working 200 plus days a year offshore are over, who wants to give nearly 50% of your earnings for the privilege of missing your families and living on a boat cheek to jowl or in sat for weeks at a time. They literally have cut their noses off to spite their face. I guess the reality of a high tax non business friendly system does eventually start to have a detrimental effect. If you want to look at one of the most discriminatory bits of tax legislation you could imagine, try finding Schedule D taxation for Divers and Dive Supervisors only involved in oil and gas exploration/recovery within the HMRC guidance.
  9. Like a lot of the most war hungry politicians, if everyone on here had actually seen active military service, or been under fire and experienced the consequences they might be a little bit more restrained. I do wonder if this situation would have occurred with trump in charge, especially with his attitude to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. It also brings into question the benefits of the so called peace dividend we often hear of.
  10. 3 years in Mark I assure you every avenue has been explored. The fault lies with the agency and the company, basically avoiding employers NI contritions, but the subsequent tax liability on top of what we had all paid as self employed as opposed to employees is what they went for and assigned to us as individuals. Unfortunately it all coincided with the price of oil crashing then followed by two years of covid insanity and ****************ing lockdowns.
  11. I’ve got a good accountant. HMRC are very good at moving the goalposts or telling you after the event you should have done x y or z.
  12. Not at all Mark. The agency all 48 of us worked through is finally under investigation and sadly the client company has closed its doors due to a £4 million Hmrc debt, the result of a large scale investigation into the whole saga. The end result is not gonna change much but that and the acknowledgment by the investigation team from the revenue that we had no choice but to work this way is a small consolation. The fact that they have waived all penalties and interest is at least something.
  13. Crap as usual citizen smith, what’s most definitely not christian is deliberately exploiting every opportunity to not pay tax and boasting about it, then spouting anti Tory bile at every opportunity.
  14. How don’t I ??. Allowing people to look after themselves without massive damaging state interference and christian beliefs are totally compatible.
  15. Once again you quickly stopped wondering and started presuming followed by lecturing.
  16. Why you interested if I attend church or not. It It is thankfully still a predominantly christian country.
  17. ? What’s that got to with anything
  18. Because we are predominantly a christian country. Having worked with a good few Ukrainian guys offshore predominantly in the role of dynamic positioning officer on dive support vessels ive found them to be absolutely great guys with an outstanding family and work ethic.
  19. Weather days Les no work and too much time on our hands 🙄 I’m not proud to say it but I’ve seen Mr Holmes in his vhs heyday. I’d rather watch cooks sawmill videos nowadays.
  20. That’s a European not UK forces bit of kit. I guess if you are in a heavily wooded countryside then the timber has its uses.
  21. That’s how I see it built in edger 👍
  22. What !! “ John Holmes”
