  1. Thanks again Gary, been while since i been involved with tpos. Many thanks Tree
  2. Thanks Gary, Yeh, luckily the client has only just purchased so the removed trees would of been by the previous owner which would of been the NHS. I'm I right that I need to submit a TPO application to remove epicormic growth?
  3. Hi all Could you give me a little advice please. I have a customer who has a group TPO which states the number of trees and species in the group, the trees can be clearly identified, am i right in assuming the small/younger trees of the same species wouldn't be covered by the TPO within the marked area? Also TPO which created 1999 but recent changes means that the group TPO is split over 3 different owners plus 3 trees have previously been removed but no record or update to the TPO, is it just case of speaking to the local authority with these issues? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks Tree
  4. not sure, may depend on what the course is and who's it with?. I attend part time for my L6 with tree life, but no student card, now taken on the MSc online and they have issued me with a student card. sorry doesn't help you much

  8. I use a TruPulse Laser Rangefinder which does everything I need but before that I had Leica disto d510 which was good to, seem to use a lot of batteries though. found the cheaper leaser measure not to great as you cant see the beam in bright sunlight.
  9. Had a great day today with the family who also enjoyed it. Was good to see the traction engine and machinery working, think the chainsaw curving where works of art. Nice and quiet today which was added bonus even though it was wet, the only disappointment was timberwolf ran out hats so my 6 year old wasn't happy.

  14. Hi all Just wondering if any can id this which I have found on a oak stem about 1m from the base, my thoughts are phytrophthora, if so is it worth sending samples to be tested to confirm this? 16. Was at a large car boot sunday, lots of sthil chainsaws for sale, one guy had a boot load of ms200/201T. Its at Stoneleigh park near Warwick. Not saying there stolen or that they will be back there again either.
  17. very true but the Op did state that nobody appears to own it, so surly can we can assume it does appear dodgy, and as already stated it could belong to the crown as a result of a person dyeing without a will, assets from a dissolved company or unable to pay death duty, or it could just be unclaimed land which if the correct documents are submitted to land registry think you can claim it, or so am told anyway.
  18. day 2 I think is fully booked, there repeating day 2 on the Friday (15th) due to demand
  19. Yep worth checking with land registry, you can check online to,not all land is registered. As already stated try the council, if they don't own it or know who does it rules them out. I could also belong to crown to. Why does your client want to fell a tree on land they don't owned?
  20. the National Tree Safety groups publication ' Common Sense Risk Management of Trees' is useful, although only guidance.
  21. hi, Im based very close to the Redditch location, happy to offer my service to help collect/move/post items they have bid and won? just PM me for more details
  22. How close are the neighbours plane trees? It might be worth going to insurance company and voicing your concern. not sure how effective eco plugs work when the tree is dormant, but I know with other species, mainly populus even when the stumps been ground out the larger roots still regrow.
