  1. Think the idear is good, not sure it would be suited to every location though. Think my concern would be that although it provides traction would some form of de-icing salt be needed still?, there a few different types of de-icing salts available, some which are more friendly to the environment, potassium acetate I think, please correct if am wrong.
  2. I don't used a bottom pole, just top and inters,
  3. 8 poles, clipper head, saw head and hook. oh and a bag. don't bother with foam filled unless your doing power line work and the DNO requests them.
  4. Try approaching the contractors to see they will take you on as a sub contractor?
  5. Not a bs5837 expert but I have been involved in a few. Am assuming that as part of your planning application you've had a BS5837 'report'?, the arboriculturlist who prepared it would of stated this within the arboricultural method statement. personally I don't think installing a soak by the lime trees is a good idear due to size of excavation need, potential root damaged caused, and the fact if your soak install does lead to premature loss of the limes you may face prosecution due to the TPO. Its hard to say where the best place is as the plan is not to scale, the RPA's don't seem correct either. There's various options you can use to install services within a RPA, e.g. trenchless methods using thrust or mole bore technique or handing using a air spade. Hope this helps, and im sure I will be corrected by more knowledgeable people on here.
  6. Do you know if you can attach a camera to old school microscope?
  7. Tempted too, never been to any of his before so my last chance maybe. What sort of price do you think it will be?
  8. Thanks, was hoping that PA6A covered PA6D to, but looking at my nptc card/certificate am guessing not as its not even listed. Is the stem injection module fairly new?
  9. What pesticide course covers you to treat knotweed? is it just PA1 and PA6 or is it different module?
  10. I have seen mirco chips used before, but the scheme wasn't successful (not sure why). What sort costs are you looking at for micro chipping?
  11. yes the tree regs 2012 do state telecommunications as a exception and read the communications act 2003, if I've understand it correct think section 106-109 and schedule 3 can be related to trees, but again if I've under stood it correctly than schedule 2 of the 1984 act is still correct. it doesn't really state on how much can be pruned though. Will be interested other peoples views to.
  12. agree its a PR disaster, not to sure on the money grabbing bit as the money paid out can easily taken back by the authority if targets and contractual obligations are not met as part of the PFI
  13. If it didn't come into leaf then its likely to poor stock given the lack of roots, I know it was rootballed, but we don't know how long it was lifted/stored before it was rootballed. The roots probably have dried out?
