  1. Table guy has always told me best is 55mm for slabs.
  2. It'll lift an ibc of green logs at full height and reach. Which is around 380kg
  3. my 520 will lift to 2.8m don't forget they have an extendable boom
  4. CarPlan Trade Valet Hand Wash Car Concentrate Super TFR, 5 L £15 for 5l Have been mixing about 5 to 1
  5. right then, with what i've tried so far the best is defo TFR (traffic film remover) if you get decent concentrate stuff too it goes seriously far compared to screen wash you do some cuts using screen wash 50/50 and blade starts to get black, switch over to TFR and the first cut all the black crap wipes straight off as the blades enters the log so that's what i'll be using till i find something better, if i do
  6. have you checked the XYZ switch on top of the gearbox? they are known to have issues on the auto i went through 2 of them when i had mine
  7. can u somehow move the block or do away with that one and get a different one on my little wessex i was about to move the block round to the side and just fit a lever, and swapped a couple of hoses round if not, could speak to Flow Fit online, they are helpful on hydraulic stuff for splitters

  14. yes, alot better thank you i'm trying a few different things, screen wash, traffic film, pine sol, washing up liquid so will see how they compare
  15. the makita one is only 5v output , the makita code is DEAADP05 i did just try and look what the dewalt output is but i can't seem to see it... however, phones are normally charged at 5 volts so i guess it must be 5v output too
  16. ok great, thank you. will give it a go 👍
  17. he got back to me this am, few things, could be useful to others too; spruce is very woolly and blunts blades quickly more important to keep blades really sharp, change as soon as the edge starts to go, rather than increasing the set scots pine is terrible for gumming up with resin, so use plenty of water ripper blades should perform well as standard on low power sawmills like mine so will be doing some more testing and see how it goes 👍 thanks all
  18. it was a brand new blade!
  19. saved having to physically move to the back of the machine, u stand in 1 place and smash through logs happened when i was splitting some nasty dry oak for my cousin - typical!
  20. ok thanks, think i'll have to do some testing to see what works best
