  1. Oh yeah.....dragon bungee tool strop. Basic simple and cheap
  2. You got there mate.... I was about to tell you I sack the pod and just twist an old metal coat hanger through the hole on the top of the silky
  3. I was taught by a lefty so I followed his set up. Chainsaw strop attached at back centre of harness, high clipped on left side on carrytool. Work positioning attached on right side. Also silky or left just in front and lower than carrytool. Don't have any problems. Tried switching but it's like learning to brush my teeth with my opposite hand
  4. I like using my 150 on these types, faster than silky and loppers. Every time I do a stinking coni hedge I dream of an invention of a hand chainsaw the size of a gomtaro (battery operated or something)
  5. I agree with that but the reality is some of the worst drug addicts who fund their addiction by criminal activities don't know what it means to have self-respect. there are those who have emotional physical and/or sexual traumatic experiences that hinder an ability to have any 'common sense, rational behaviour, or social conformity'' and no ability to return themselves to an even keel (an acceptable behaviour). Chaos and madness is default in some. Does that mean that it's a free ticket to justify bad/illegal behaviour?.....no, bad/illegal behaviour has consequences. It just means that they need help because they don't have the ability to just sort themselves out. Some people don't want nothing to do with them and that's fine, some people want to reach out and help and that's fine, Whether that help actually helps, that's another issue. There are people who just want to go out and rob/rip off just because they can and they don't have any of the issues stated above (debatable). People will always have differing opinion that is also fine (I think) as long as solutions are worked at for the general/common good. I will get off my soap box just after I say this. People can change, it's happening all over the world. My criminal record was spent (over a decade ago) except last week I had a £180 fine 3 points and a flipping court appearance leading to a conviction for wire exposed on the inside rim on my car tyre last week. Change takes a lifetime (again, my opinion) and I guess it's only on your death bed when you look back at your life and you are satisfied that your effort to bring good to people's lives was genuine and real. Today I messure my daily actions as if I am on my death bed because I don't have the slightest idea how long my life is going to be. It sucks when you hear a story of how someone's livelyhood has been robbed, it sucks when you hear stories of refugees drowning, it sucks (for me anyway) when you hear stories of people trapped in addictions with no hope of change All this is based on my own experiences and my formed views. I know that others have different views and I'm not looking to undermine them or say that my view is the only view. I just like to help people
  6. Explorer.........looking for undiscovered animals, unexplored lands or at least trekked infrequent. I guess I like going, moving forward, new environments, on a mission
  7. Just pulled this out from under our work bench
  8. Came across a pistachio magnum the other day from coop. Limited offer. Can't get them (asda, sainsburys, tesco, coop) anywhere!! Offer is now gone, along with every trace of the elusive pistachio magnum. Anyone else have one?
  9. 2x 250mg naproxen (anti inflammatory) and an omoprozole (gastro resistant), prescription only (or someone with tendinitis may have them). If you can't get them, Diclofenac may work. Paracetamol combined with anti inflammatory works for me If it's infection then you need antibiotics and about the only temporary relief you can get is co-codomol and oil of clove. This is not professional advice. This is the avenues I've had to go when I've had toothache
  10. That sounds like an adventurous night. Did you dress all in black? Bet you felt like a ninja. I'm trying to imagine falling in the dark in someone else's yard while they are there in the middle of the night, must be one hell of long and continuously bumpy and loud fall. And I'm trying to imagine owning the yard and laying in wait and minutes before the fun hearing the heart beating in my chest ready to help the trespasser learn to never forget that entering this yard is detrimental to his health
  11. I had a day off today and I decided to try and bake a loaf of seeded wholewheat bread. (I know and expect this will open the door to ridicule but I'm not bothered). I find some ancient value in the process but obviously blocking out the fact I'm using a gas cooker. To my surprise it was nice, especially with Irish butter and still warm.....
  12. The upgrade/mod is exactly where yours (and mine) cracked
  13. That happened to my zig zag and my zillon. 6 months into use, Buxtons were more that helpful in replacing them instantly
  14. Acer japonicum. I really admire the effort some customers have made with their acer over the years. Beautiful colours, and seen some incredible trained specimens. Almost look surreal
  15. It was a 35ft pole with a back lean. Bore through the middle to have a more friendly hinge. That was my thinking.......(correct me if needs be as I want to learn, plenty out there who have years and years of experience and tips to pass on!!!😀)
  16. I humbly accept your correction. Pentatoma rufipes it is..... Adult common greenshield bug doesn't have the raises horn looking shoulders but looks strikingly similar (Pentatomidae) Palomena prasina Green Shieldbug (Pentatomidae) Pentotoma rufipes Forest Bug
  17. Yes sir.......a common green shield bug.........(I think) and Google thinks so!!
  18. Sorry if one of these have already been posted but this little one got quite comfortable on my leg
  19. Starting to wish I didn't start this thread...........it's like I've taken a sling shot to a gun fight
  20. I don't really mind if someone wants it for nothing, got to ask for an offer first as I don't really know the value. So since many people are cutting stuff like this and bigger.......free to who ever wants it But you have to come get it. I would rather someone have a use for it. But at the end of the day, if there's no one, then it's fire wood. Done my bit:biggrin:
  21. Some reason unknown to me, I can't seem to post more than 1 photo
  22. I am removing a yew today. Shame for this to used for fire wood. I'm in Birmingham, if anyone wants to make an offer, send a PM. 201 is for reference of size
  23. First time zip line today.....loved it!
