Like most on here, time off. But I am planning a bacon, egg, lava bread and cheese on toast one morning followed by an evening meal of chicken pieces lightly fried in olive oil and garlic and covered in morrisons special tomato olive sauce, and a bottle of chateaux lescomes (Margaux) to finish. That's my treat.

I used the rear attachment on a co-dominant ash stem. Removed the canopy, kept a high anchor on one stem and moved down the next one with work positioning lanyard and ropes neat around the back. Tried it just to see, I liked it. Did find it a bit of a novelty thing, but it works

I had a stein vega which I loved. It was light, comfortable and not to messy with a load of attachment points for crabs, slings etc... Then I had a tree motion and I loved the idea of a primary anchor point attachment on the back of harness (2nd gen), I've used it for about 18 months and have got used to it. It took a few weeks of constant use to find the right tightening and loosening of the leg straps and leg to pelvic attachment straps. All in all, it's a good harness which you can arrange where you want some of your connection points. You can shorted your bridge by adding another knot on one side. You can take the padded inside off to wash. Another thing I have is a metal carrytool on the leg so I attach rigging stuff when moving about the canopy. If I've missed anything, sorry Having said all that, I did put the vega back on a couple of months ago and remembered how easy and friendly it was

I understand your point, but, 4 weeks ago I finished a three year, six days a week domestic arb career. I loved it, and i still love it. I'm back in 5 days a week, today is Thursday and I'm tired but I have a day left in the tank. Arb is my passion, I have tried other work areas but none are as exiting, satisfying, or as adventurous as domestic arb IMO. You get the rough with the smooth, dodgy customers, stolen equipment, slow down on quotes etc....today I was cleaning up (rake and builders sack) and I was thinking there is no other job I would rather be doing. When I left my last position 4 weeks ago I had a plan (vision of my ideal) and I went for it. Sent numerous CV's out, even to companies who were not recruiting. I had doubts about my dicision to leave, whether I had mad the right move or not, I had some alternative offers (PTS course) and doing track clearance and of that sort (great, but not my vision). Family advising me to start my own business (again great, but not my imidiate vision, although in the background of my thoughts that's the inevitability of my vision, just not yet) £££££ and word of mouth, and more experience desired for now so I'm in South Wales doing what I love and don't regret any part of it Sorry to go off track a bit, hope the guy who posted this thread will get some encouragement or something good out of this. What ever you do mate, I wish you all my best and hope you success in your plans

Ah......the cram your trash down by your groundies feet look!! My old man used to do that years ago and I never could make sense of it. These days, there is nothing more sensible than telling your passenger to throw your trash in the front foot well and deal with it at end of day. Endura high neck, no zip. It's got to be cold/wet or both for maximum effect. I sacked the water proofs one day, and just had base layer and tShirt. I was soaked but stayed warm all day till I got down out of the tree. High neck stops more chip reaching your inside IMO (having tried crew neck too)

Since moving back to South Wales and sending CV's out at the same rate of receiving spam emails, I have in the meantime picked a job up to tick over. Just me, 009 and a hired chipper, and stump grinding to follow on Tuesday. 2 day job - first day removed all coni branches off all conis (48) and then removed stem, chipped all trees into tree line moving chipper after every chipped tree spreading the chip, logs moved and stacked, ready to stump grind. Second day - stump grinding 48 stumps on Tuesday
