  1. Watched it the other day, truly incredible the strength and balls he has. Some of the things he grips on to with two fingers at a time and maybe a couple of toes is astonishing, especially at the height he was climbing. Literally no room for errors. Highly recommend!
  2. The timber worked the best as a cushion, helped it role off the kerb and not causing any damage haha
  3. Ms 441. Good saw in my eyes especially in tree as it’s not to heavy and can pull a 25” bar no dramas. Can’t say I’ve used a 462 but I’ve heard good things! Yeah worked with the rope guy for 5 years so pretty In tune with each other but sadly it’s his last week next week and pursuing a new career
  4. Hahaha yeah I did, gutters were rammed with crap
  5. I can’t say how much it cost as my boss deals with all that but we had 2 days on it including logging and moving timber but over run a bit because was let down on staff on the first day so was only me climbing and another on the ropes. Second day we had 3 men
  6. It should work though because I’ve watched videos on the App before. Hopefully somewhen shines some light on a solution
  7. Appreciate the feedback, now you mention it it makes sense and I’ll bare that in mind in the future! [emoji1303]
  8. Hmmmm seems to work on the desktop site but on the app. Any ideas anyone ?
  9. First proper edit I whipped together. Pretty happy with it so thought I’d post it on here. Go easy on me [emoji23]
  10. Don’t I know it, it’s all being logged up and man handled tomorrow ?
  11. Beech takedown from today, lots of cradle rigging and blocking down but went nice and smoothly. First time properly getting some GoPro footage and have some decent shots. I’ll make a post on here once I’ve scratched my head whilst editing it.
  12. Contact Sena directly they are very helpful and quick. Vaguely remember they fixed a problem with one of our Sena’s at no charge.. Boss sorted it but I remember he was impressed with the service and something is reminding there wasn’t a cost. Could be wrong though
  13. Use a Grafter with the company I’m at. Can’t fault them in my opinion, tow a ST8 or a Tracked Jensen A540 and does it with ease. Have also filled it to rafters with chip and still towed the ST8 and it managed okay. Fuel economy is always gonna be shit but as already been mentioned that’s the beauty of what it’s being used for
  14. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had it stuck a few times [emoji23] generally it’s easy going retrieving, just avoid tight forks [emoji1303]
  15. Couldn’t live without my rope guide. The best you are going to get friction wise unless you go SRT. It’s also great at choking around stems rather than having to go through unions. Makes negatively rigging a lot easier having an anchor point to set up the pulleys and lines. Being able to choke on to stems so easy it makes it easy to retrieve, Even when working a tree that I’m reducing I often choke the rope guide rather than going other forks

  17. Showed my boss the video last week and he got us all together one morning and we all talked through the incident and the ways it could of been avoided. It’s a harsh reminder that we are in an industry that can be very dangerous if not approached and tackled in the appropriate manner.
  18. I’ve climbed trees that I’ve ratcheted together due to cracked unions but never had the need to fell a tree that needed ratcheting. I felled a larch that had a dirty crack on the tension side of the tree which I planned to Ratchet but was advised not by an more experienced old boy saying the It could break it and send it flying in any direction. Has this happened to anyone before ? I questioned it but took his advice and the tree came down perfectly so that’s how it was left
  19. Talking from my experience as an employee some times it’s quicker to bang as much through the chipper as possible than to spend logging up. We have a chipper that can take up to 8 inch rounds so we often chip what others would have to log up unless stated otherwise ie. want as many logs as possible
  20. From the reading through the comments on the Facebook post he seems to be a live, a few broken bones later though. Also there was some sort of incident report in the comments someone posted and seemed there was no use of a gob just straight back cut
  21. Ah okay thank you appreciate the info
  22. Thank you looks like the one to me! Being desiccated does that give off more warning signs other that the already apparent fungal activity?
